I spoke to rick over at kawasaki cust service and he did confirm the ZRX is dead in 2006.I was hoping for an updated ZRX to purchase, but I guess thats not gonna happen. It would be nice to know if they plan on resurrecting it at some near future time with a version of the ZX14 motor-that would be worth waiting for.I will wait a month to see,but then I will purchase a '06 FZ1 or maybe something suzuki brings out(B-king?)

Don't get me wrong, I like the bike a lot, but then again there are older bikes from the 80s and 70s that I like but that doesn't mean they belong on the market today.
And yes, I know, if an owner spends enough $$$$$ he can overcome almost all the obsolescence, all but the geriatric frame.
But all that said, the fact is the bike did its thing, ran its course, and is now just way years out of date, and based on a motor that's now been retired (previously, the ZRX was mostly using ZX1200C parts for the motor.)
Most dealers didn't even bother to order any ZRX's the last couple of years, so far as I could tell.
A good run, I am glad Kawasaki made the bike.
It may be true that "everyone loves the bikes," but not enough so that the average dealer was selling even one per year, I don't think.

From the Annual Report, expansion and more aggressive models seems the theme.
I doubt they view the ZX as being killed off but rather substituted (either that, or they view the ZZR as being substituted not killed off) so in your above list, really I guess they would see it as only 2 models being discontinued -- models that weren't selling well at all, though the 12 was the best-selling of the three (the other two had gotten down to utterly miserable, it seemed.)
