Grammar question: By conventions of British grammar, isn't the above article incorrect with regard to agreement of subject and very in numerous instances? For example I would think
it should read "MCN lift the lid," "MCN have gained," etc, as firms are considered as being plural entities.

Similarly, the sidebar reads "but Yamaha sees things a little differently" where it should read, according to this principle, "Yamaha see things a little differently."

Can any Brits comment? Am I right? Or has British usage changed, or is above more likely written by some damn illiterate American and the editors did not bother to correct?

And while on the subject of British usage, has there been a recent change to "different to" as opposed to "different than," or has it been "different to" all along?

Thanks!

Thanks Fish!!

I was just afraid if I posted it there in the first place a lot wouldn't see it, that would see it in the Smack House.

I have to admit to usually just checking 12R Zone, 10R Zone, Dragbike Zone, Dual Sport Zone, News, and Smack House myself rather than each and every forum.

That one pic still looks all jacked up. Like the back tire of the bike is leaned over on the kickstand, yet the front tire is standing straight up.

The can they have seems a very good solution.

For a liter or 1200-sized bike, I'd be okay with having two of those, one on each side (if the chain would not interfere on the left side), in preference to the undertail. Even though all else
being equal I don't like dual exhaust for a sportbike.

My guess is the can probably does not flow well enough for a liter or larger bike and that is why we're not seeing one like this for them. Actually it seems great work by Yamaha that
they made it work for the 600.

What's happening I think is the new European regulations coming in 2006. Everyone seems to be having to come up with new answers for the exhaust.

This is a fucking work of art, drool, slobber, drool and I predict the R1 will relatively shortly and with mucho haste assume this vision of beauty. Who does Yami have working for them Donatello? This makes me sick, I am ruined for every other motorcycle! can I fit on a 600? Nah, Maybe I'll just buy it and put it in my living room and stare at it.

Agreed! I've always believed Yammy don't have many choices
but when they do work, they do it DAMN WELL! I think they have the best
looks in the liter bike section and now looks like the 600 series.

Trenace is correct on the short stubbie can being implemented for the new Euro Regulations about to appear.

The bike looks like it has little or no sub frame?? I can see a self supporting Carbon fibre unit in the near future.
