My biggest problem is no local dealer I can trust; I wanted to trade for a ZX10R when it came out, & the nearest dealer boneheads offered me $3.5K for my low miles/great condition/tricked out 00' ZX12R on a trade-in. I then of course, told them to stuff it, I will just keep riding the Big Ninja.

Now, if it's REALLY a ZZR replacement- with many upgrades (especially in the bodywork/looks department), I might be interested. That picture does not tell us much:

ZX6/10 styling it appears from that picture; that's ok.

European front signals; you know that they will go for the US market

Does it have some saddlebags that actually look good, or the same ugly Givi models?
(can NOT lanesplit w/those monsters), AND can they be removed & the rear of the bike still look good (ah la BMW?)

Will the insurance industry classify it as a "sportbike?" Judging from the pic, yes. There goes that drop in insurance rates we were counting on (which BTW you get w/BMW, ST1300, FJR1300.) How about calling it a ZTX....(for ZX, Touring model?) Maybe that would bring the ins. industry around? Time for some marketing research Kawasaki.

Larger gas tank w/guages we can actually read that are accurate? The ZX6/10 series tach everyone is griping about; you know it- fix it, don't continue the impression Kawasaki doesn't listen to clients & mag. testers complaints. It's 2005', we don't mind paying extra for a top-of-the-line sport-touring bike; it SHOULD come with guages at least on a par as the YAM/HON ST/FJR bikes.

Fix the speedometer. 15% fast is way, way too much. I could live w/5-8% inaccuracy.

Make a seat that is comfy for at least the length of time = to the gas tank at cruizing speeds.

Add some storage someplace/be the first to come out w/a GREAT toolkit (Roadmaster, etc.)

Cruise control; I do not want to buy a throttle-meister. I want the bike to come with it.

Lots of acc. outlets & a charging system that can handle 4-5 12V devices or higher amp capacity. (heated vest, radio, radar detector, heated sox, etc.)

Heated handgrips, decent trip computer w/dual odo's, variable map w/the injectors for various riding conditions (be the 1st to come out w/this- I don't want a Dynojunk.)

That's my wish list at this time of the morning...

Probably be longer once I have another cup of jo & wake up....:P IMHO/FWIW

What about saddlebags that can still let you lane-split in Cali?

I'm guessing it's because it's a ZZR model instead of the ZX- model

I hope they make something like it, assuming it's more like the Yami 1300 or Honda ST thing. Kawaki's needed some;thing in that lineup for a long time.

Don't mess with the 12R though! Don't screw it up or take it away!
