Will Kawi build an FJR1300 fighter?
As the title asks will they?
I hope so, and soon or my garage may very well have a Yamaha setting in it next year.
What I would like to see is a bike that can go head to head with the FJR in all aspects, displacement, handling, brakes, ergos, luggage, etc.
Luggage that matches the bike, not just use Givi's with a new name badge.(zzr1200)
1300 cc or larger, 150 rwhp or more, more torque than a 'busa at mid range.
Shaft drive, adj windscreen, fuly adj suspension. top of line brakes, abs optional.
designed to carry a passenger, not just hang a passenger on the back .
Am I wanting to much or will Kawi step up and replace the Connie?

I was talking to a Kawi dealer today, and he indicated that there might just be something. The Concours is in it's 20th model year, and apparently will not pass US emissions laws for 06 as it is. I agree to your list, and would like to see multi-adjustable handlebars as shown on the ZZ-RX concept bike last year.

It's time. I've been using my 12 as a tourer but the fuel range is the weak link. Hate to say it but I think her days are numbered. I'm hoping a version of the ZZR-X comes out next year. Otherwise a new Triumph ST may be in my future. The BMW K1200 sport tourer spy photos are floating around, 160+hp, shaft, hard bags....but with the typical BMW pricetag.
Heh heh, I just put a trailer hitch on the ZRX....shhhh.

Yah, who knows? Would love a replacement for my '02 ZZR1200.
