I dont think it would beat a 12. I personally raced a funny-car Cobra which produced more hp than that RX-7. We were at the Spokane raceway doing the quarter mile, that car sure gave me a run for my money off the line. But once we hit 120+, I began to slightly pull away. After the race, the driver claimed he missed a gear, so we did it again and the same thing happened. Talk about a rush! That was one hella fast car and it felt good to pull away. Seemed like he was doing more shifting, so at around 150ish I was in a lower gear with more to go, the top end of the bike was what did it. I would say the bottom-end torque was fairly on par though.
