lower mainland B.C. who rides where?

I work a four day on four day off schedule and would like to start riding with some people this year. I'm just curious where you all like to ride. I'm out here in Rosedale, it's a little east of Chilliwack but I like to ride out in Mission or golden ears. but if it's nice I'll ride to whistler and in May me and a group of 8+guys ride our bikes to Kelowna for the long weekend. I've been riding for 10+ yrs I have a 2000 R6 but I'm going to test ride a DRZ400SM and possibly buy one if I like it. I ride a fairly quick pace but I'm not pretending I'm Eddy Lawson and straight aways aren't for doing 280k, been there done that. I like corners and trying to be as smooth as possible apposed to being as fast as possible and doing the Pace is a blast with the right guys. anyway who's where and when do you ride.

J... how's it going? long time no see! Anyways... I'd hook up but still to damn busy with work.... as freek pointed out in yer other thread, bikeland isn't a regional site, it's grown to be a global site... less than 1% of Bikeland's membership is Canadian.... you'd have a better chance organizing a ride on BCSB...

When I've got some time off I'd love to hook up and see how the wee ones are doing!

make sure to drop me a line when u head to whistler next time. if u have enough time (and an ferrous behind) we can do the duffy. don't remember if u said u've done that run before or not. definitely stay away from the 99 to whistler on the weekend, and in rush hour on weekdays too. also take it easy on that highway cause there are alot of cops and alot of nitwit cages using the wrong lane. note that tho the stretch from whistler to pemberton is still fairly clear of traffic, the traffic enforcement has at least doubled since a year or so ago.

btw, u still living in the same houce? i don't remember it being past chilliwack.

Twice you've mentioned hooking up with them.............oooooooo I get it you were just saving face so crotchety ol Dirty Bill wouldn't get all over yer case.....yeah i get it. No really I'll see what they got shakin. Anyway I've been checking out Thumper Talk for a change of Scenery plus I wanted some info on the Drz Sm I'm thinkin of getting. I found, the people over there are a nice buch and a wealth of knowledge as far as four stroke singles go. but this place is my home. As for me me n Tami we just had a baby boy, his name is Quentin and Jeret is going to be 5 in april. We moved a lil further east to rosedale it's off the Annis Rd Exit 129, the one before the Popkum turnoff to go to Agassi/Hope, and you guys are always welcome,
and for sure if I'm out your way freek I'll let you know ahead of time. You're worth the monkey butt. I haven't done duffy lake on a bike, but tore it up in my honda ricerboy civic.
oh isn't there a member that lives out that way? Besides you Freek...a girl with a 600? ooh stream of counciousness kicking in anyhoo my place has a huge nicer cedar deck kinda like the place you came to but also a 8 person hot tub.nudge nudge wink wink. and yes I have a bigger and better Kareoke Machine so you'll have to make sure you can stay and get ugly I've got the room fer you all to crash/passout. plus I like hearing PK sing "Crazy" she makes me feel funny.............. down.there when she sings Patsy Kline. Just kidding Big O. well glad to hear works going well and look forward to hooking up some time. Just PM me if you going to come out this way. and mabey we can organize another bbq but without the freezing rain. oh and tell photogirl I have her pony clips still and if she wants them she'll have to come and get em.

no probs with BCSB ... they simply have the largest concentration of local riders... they'd be no good for hooking up with people from around the world (that's what this site is good at) but if you need the local hookup they have it covered... as fer yer questions about the DRZ SM.. whaddya wanna know? we should have some info coming soon so we may be able t help wit dat.

j, the only other bikeland riders in the area (that i know of) is my buddy mattie_k. his significant other did ride but hasnt in a while, so i'm not sure if that's what ur thinking of.

i still dont much like BCSB cause the atmosphere/attitude there just drives me up the wall (crown is too damn immature and obnoxious overall, with plenty of exceptions tho), but u can't beat it for hooking up with local riders. it's a bit hit or miss tho, as i went on 2 group rides from bcsb and 1 in particular was very lame. alot of posing, not much riding. but with a little perserverance u shoudl be able to find a good local clique.

the new place sure sounds nice! will have to make it out there one a these days.

I don't get down to the lower mainland too often but I do live in Kelowna so on your next trip up this way drop me a line, could meet you part way or go for a ride in this area. Also if you need a place to crash let me know.

Hey Freek damn it if I thought Mattie K was of the female persuasion, not from posts but the name Mattie.....no offence but it struck me a a girls name (that coming from a guy named Jamie)
Thanks fish I haven't been able to find any ride reviews of the bike.....OH and if they want you to come down to so cal to test one count me in.
p.s. what the hell is your avatar of looks like a picture frame w/some doo doo on it!?!
foxylady that would be sweet to put us up. but you'd be dealing with a group of 30yr olds on a mission to Party. but we're all happy drunks and it would be nice to hook up for a ride. we've done the trip every May long weekend for the last seven years.

You would fit in great with the group I ride with they range from 26 to 39 and you just mention the word 'PARTY' and you can't get rid of them, believe me I have tried. Normally May long weekend is a camping weekend but we are thinking of skipping it this year and could be open to some riding. Let me know, and the offer is still open between me and my neighbor who also rides (he's the 26yr old and always looking to party) we would have plenty of room, along with a garage for the bikes.

yep the WILLOW......I luuuuuv that place for may long weekend especially when the weathers good, coming down off the mountain the warm air fills your helmet your hands and feet defrost and pulling into town with ten guys on ricerockets just feels good. We.usually get settled at the hotel go to earls for dinner harass the waitresses and just before we get kicked out we pay up and make way to the willow and drink some more, walk through the doors to see a few of the loveley ladies then hit the clubs, we usually wind up at Flashbacks and play "drunk old lady" ie the first guy to get hit on by a prowling cougar wins ie we all buy him a shot. its great fun especially if the guy leaves with one at the end of the night. tee hee!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!

Yikes!!! I used to work at Flashbacks as bouncer.....Cougars everywhere!!!.....Especially on ladies night....imagine your ass cheeks being sore at the end of the night as a result of the cougars getting all "pinchy"

That does sound like a fun game though....although it wouldn't take very long for the winner to need to collect his prize.

hey maxxer......That bar rocks I like that it's a real mix of people, a lil bit on the older side, the other clubs in town are alright but god damn 19yr olds girls look sooooooo young and the guys are all in fuck or fight mode. Flashbacks crowd is a lil more laid back and just want to party. everytime we finished the night at splashes or the one beside cheetahs theres always some local getting his ass kicked by a hells angel for hanging around where he's not wanted. The funny thing is you can see them a mile away. tight black shirts gold chains big upper body with chicken legs. hangin around the boys all night. If they want you to drink with them they'll invite you otherwise stay the fuck away. I like the fact that the HA pretty much keep to themselves that weekend but the ones I've talked to were decent guys. We stayed in the willow one year, they would be the last guys to make any kind of stupid remark about jap bikes or us the worst was keeping drunks from sitting on our bikes. that's the main reason we started staying at the Queen Anne because it had underground secured parking. and with the willow right behing where all the boys parked their bikes no one fucked with anyones shit in that alley. anyway we've never had a problem with them on that weekend.

Yeah, it was fun at first, but I hate classic rock....and I was only able to hear "Old Time Rock and Roll" so many times before I was due to lose my sanity or go postal. I was always partial to "Gotcha's".....so many cuties running around there......and yes so young.....BUT try Alberta....18 is legal drinking age....I'm not saying any more than that

I HATE THAT FUCKING SONG....And being a doorman having to listen to it all night. but we we're all pretty shitfaced by the time we get there so the music not too bad after listening to all the techno crap being played at the other clubs.Gotcha's that's the place. I had some girl at the end of the nite show me her tits, and then she aked how old I was (32 at the time)I told her and she ran away like I had the plague ? What the fuck....... hell I'm 37 and my wife's friends all think I'm 28. whatever... I do love that town.

Jumpin J, sounds like you're out Chilliwack way.. If you're monitoring BCSB for rides, look for ones posted either by myself, or Saint Nick.

No posing, just quick riding, quite often into washington state from Sumas. Look for the Moto GP viewings at Stellas in Mission as well.

The group we ride with are all skilled and no nonsense, every now and then a new poser will slip in, they don't hang around long, but our core group is good... Hope to see you..

Cheers
