my DRZ400SM arrives in March!
Well my R6 is in on consignment the papers are signed and my shiny black motard is ordered, I can't believe I'm getting excited over a 400cc bike....I guess my day's of hunching over a fuel tank and trying to break the speed of sound is over,I've been watching supermoto and I think it's going to catch on up here. the bike just looks like fun and doesn't have as much expensive plastic to break, plus you're riding along and see a dirt road you can just blast up it if you want. I've been searching on the web and I wish I could find some sort of ride review on the bike.
Anyway, I give it about 6mos and honda/yamaha etc will have 450 motards out and Ill be kicking myself. or not. I think a nice yoshi pipe and filter kit will make it that much more fun. anyone else jumping on the motard wagon? You gonna get one swift? fish, freek?

..hey j, I think you'll really like that sweet 400cc motor and the lack of weight of that chassis...my KLX400SR (which is based off of the DRZ400) is a lot of fun...I can only imagine a pure street version of my bike with the appropriate suspencion teaks and tires...I saw the local KTM dealer's 525-based track moto all hunkered down with shortr suspension and slicks and stuff and it also looks like it'd be a blast to ride...congrats!

Thanks worm, I did my best while I was still long hauling in SoCal to have you pull me over especally when I went throught the scale/immigration crossing going to San Diego. I really miss being down there especially this time of year, however I don't miss sleeping out in Indio or El Centro on some farm waiting to get my load of produce.
As far as the motard goes I don't know if I want to stick with the dunlops or go with the pirelli tire I saw on the KTM motard. the pirelli's just looked a lot more dual purpose minded but then again it is only a 400 so i probably won't be leaving any blackies coming off of corners anyhoo. It's
good to chat with you worm-hole,
