My Tacoma Demo Ride So, I was at the Int'l Bike Show today. Waiting in line, saw Ivan 'Iron Man' Stewart walk by. Grinned like a fool and said hi, he said hi back and walked inside the exhibition center. It wasn't open yet, so when it opened up, I went in and bummed around for awhile. Bought some cool tshirts, and wanted to try one on, so went out to the car and put all the stuff in the car and changed tshirts. I'm walking back to the center, when who do I see again? Ivan Stewart! Wow! I said 'hello again!' and he chuckled and said the same. Then stopped and said 'Hey, want to go for a demo ride in the new Tacoma?" I was floored to get an invite from the Iron Man himself! "Sure!" I said. We walked over to the tent, I signed the form and walked over to the Tacoma with him. He took me around the demo track and we talked the whole time about his offroad driving technique and how much smoothness counted when trying to maintain traction. At the end of the demo lap, he hopped out and let me take it for a lap myself. Sweet truck! Very very solid, no flex at all. Absolutely tight. Only movement I felt was the suspension working as I went over the terrain. I even hustled it a little bit over the stutter bumps, to see if I could find a rattle or feel it get harsh on me. No way, it really was impressive. So that's my story for the motorcycle show!

You went to a bike show and got a test in a Tacoma ? That is one hell of a bike show !! ____________

pretty cool alright. woulda been even cooler if you had told the story over beers at the alehouse. was pretty bummed u werent there btw, did u ride to the show again this year?
