Playing with the '05 tiddler

It's only got 2 miles on it, but the numbers are still impressive. Sorry, sworn to secrecy currently on the pump numbers, but the 636 version is stout. From an exhaust standpoint, what a bitch.... Unless you make an 8" muffler, looks like it's gonna need a suitcase style muffler with offset inlet. Not fun... She rings out forever 15.5k plus! She sounds much more stout than the 04 model. Really has a more "big bike" tone. Almost makes me want one next to the F4I & ZX10 in the stable. If you're thinking about buying one, you won't be disappointed.

just not enough length under the tail you mean? thinking about making a side-mounted exhaust as an alternative maybe?

freek - overall, the market would never accept a side mount on a bike that came with an undertail stock. I've already got the design done on making it work. Going back on the pump tomorrow to see if the numbers work.

Man I like this tiddler. I'm changing my opinion about 600's. It's really fairly easy to get 125 hp out of them. And if you want to really do an FX type thing, you can get 135 within reason, and weight down to 370 wet (no gas). Starting to sound like fun!

Who is that guy? Oh man you should hear it when the sound bounces off the closed door at about 16k rpm... Substantial increase with the Slip-On. Still testing. Sorry can't quote any numbers. This tiddler is very nasty. I want one.

It isn't like 'piddle' is it?

Anyway - how is she on the track? Will I be able to put the smack on the R6's out there and *gag* 600RR's that have started to crowd the leading pack of supersport in my club?

There's an awful rumor that the 636's are hard to tune the front end for racing. Obviously the Hadens have it figured out.....but I don't ride for the factory.

My little 99 is getting motored down the straights...but I'm still givin' 'em hell!

'till ya sit on a bike that's six years newer and feel the butt-dyno power!

Yeah, a good rider will beat a mediocre rider, but given the riders at the almost same skill level...etc. etc. etc.

Kerry - No worries. It's a great truck. Having had big'uns before, I can testify about the pains of parking...

Put me in Coach ! i am Ready !!

My little 03 636 is pushing 119 HP, with a little fiddling, but wi 10K miles want to move it and make room for the new 05 636, espically since the 05 has slipper, etc.. Anybody know when they will be avaliable in the states? Any list prices in U.S. Yet?
JWright is correct, from Marcus said the factory must have been on crack with the tunig aspect of suspension, the rear shock came tuned for a 250 lbs rider and the front was very mushy feeling. McBain check my rear sag , and it was with in 1mm of desired sag, the front was another story. had to max the pre-load to get the correct feel, probably time to change the springs and fluid.
I am ready for the new meat, !!!
