2007 ZX-6R
This is the first time in my moto riding life that I've been part of model changes happening every two years and I am so lovin it. I look forward to the new 05 6R, but with 2 years out of the way, shouldnt we start worrying abut the 07 model run?

Why do you think you get a new model every 2 years?

I read that manufacturers have to keep a model on the market for at least two years in order to break even on r&d costs, but more importantly, to make sure there is enough replacement parts on the market, meaning a two-year run at minimum is required.
That said, if a model changeup is going to be significant, it has to be done at least with two years minimum on the previous model. This does not include subtle changes, but major changes and such.
The 6R went from 2003-2004, and now for 2005 there is a new model. So the earliest next model 6R wont come out till 2007 at the earliest.
Suzuki has done the same thing with the last couple generations of the GSXR1000...
