I really do like how the 6RR is being differentiated without the lower black fairing. The solid color all throughout is just another design hue that seperates it from its 636 brother.

That said, and I know the RR only comes in green, but please Kawi go back to the same green that was found on the 2000 ZX-12R. The green has changed and I personally am not a big fan of it.

It is safe to say that when a green bike rolls down the Interstate that you know it's a Kawi dead on. Even if the cops could pinpoint the make off color, I would like to show my Kawi brand loyalty by getting green, but not this lime green. The color green from the first model 12 was more bolder, not limer if that makes sense.

The black will always be good just as long as you dont throw that violet hue in it that past model Kawi's have had. That metallic black just looks nasty, like the 10R.

I would like to see the red...maybe I'll photochop one up.

I love my 10, but I would really like to have a go on the new 636, maybe for the wife or maybe for a race bike, either way I don't think it looks bad in the ti or black.

I've seen the green, blue and titanium and think the green and blue look great, as always.

I'm not so sure about the titanium but will reserve judgement for when/if I get to see one in the metal.

The titanium gives a "funny" look to the bike I think. In the photo's I've seen (of the 6R, 10R and Z1000) of the Titanium, it looks as thought the bikes are kind of finished with metal fairings and left unpainted, sort of. I get the same feeling from the titanium colour that I get from looking at Carrol Shelby's own unpainted Cobra. Maybe it's not that the colour makes the bike look unfinished, as that it makes the bike look too finished and refined (for a sportbike) for my taste. More like a tourer sort of colour. Or that it's an odd choice of colour for a hard-nosed sportsbike.

That could be it, the titanium is too understated for a sportsbike. I've been raised safe in the belief that sportsbikes are boldy and brightly coloured, and occasionally gaudy. The titanium is too sober for a sportsbike.

As for the red, is the red that the 10r will be available in next year the Pearl Magma Red which will be available on the '05 6R? If so, I think it could be a very nice colour.

I like the Titanium color alot but I'll hafta see that Red Color and judge for myself.

Anything happens to the 10 plastics and I'll likely swap th that Ti color.

How different is that Ti color than the Silver that was on the 01 12's?

I have just seen some '05 ZX-10R's at one of my local dealerships, and the Titanium colour looks pretty good in real life. Much better than the photo's suggest.

The Titanium has more gold in it than the silver of the '01 ZX-12R's. It also has a matte finish. It makes the bike look like more of a "Machine".

Very tough. : )

The lighter green is very nice too.

Kawi seems to be a bit of adventerous in the color palettes, but conservative in engineering and styling.

All the funky colors of the 12R was just horrible (with lime green on the 2000 being great). 2003 was the worst year for colors from Kawi. Yech.

That being said I only like the blue, but it still isn't a 'nice' blue. Dont' really care for it.

Kawi has really missed the boat for me in colors. Sorry. And that racing green? Yech. Now it took a while for the 2000 12R green to grow on me, but it's better than the racing green.

Orange? on the 10R? Nope. Blue? Nah. Green, ech (dismissive). Black? YUP!

This "new" Lime Green is (if I'm not wrong) in fact the "old" Lime Green that Kawasaki have been using for decades.

I have always liked it. The '05 version of Lime Green makes the previous colour look dirty though (as in unclean), when they're next to each other.

I've generally always liked the colours that Kawasaki have painted their bikes in, even "Eventide".

I like the fact that Kawasaki have always been a bit different (in respect to the other Japanese manufacturers) with the way they do things.

I have been wondering, recently, now that bikes from all the Japanese manufacturers have been/are painted red, yellow and blue (the respective "corporate" colours for Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha), how long it will be before one of the other three Japanese manufacturers brings out one of their bikes in Lime Green.

I think it may never happen, and I'm happy about that.

Of course you need to have a range of colours available, because not everyone will like any one particular colour so they need to have a range to choose the one they like most from.

I like that Kawasaki's are green. I also like the Firecracker Red that Kawasaki have used in the past, especially when it's teamed up with black/metallic ebony, eg: GPZ's and '00 ZX-6R's.

XL...Always thought the most beautiful color was the red used on the 82 GPz 750 and GPz 1100. I've lost count of the number of times I daydreamed of those two bikes back in college.

The 88 ZX10R in red was another favorite. More recently, the red used on the 02 ZX12R (also known as "Ferrari red") would look good in metallic. The blue on the 04 10R was a stunner.

Overall, Kawasaki's decision to use solid paint schemes is smart, and helps differentiate the brand. Makes the multi-colored, multi-stripe bikes of the competition look childish.

For quite a few years now, I've had a dream... a dream of a Kawasaki in Metallic Burnt Orange. I know it's not for everyone and to be honest, even I've gone off it recently.

Now I dream of some kind of Chrome Red, as in red coloured chrome or similar. In a darkish/medium shade, a bit darker than taillights. Oooohhh baby.

Or Lime Green.

Aaahhh screw the Chrome Red, I've just seen and ridden a Magma Red '05 ZX-6R.

Stunning colour. It's definitely me.

I saw the Ti bike at the Seattle MC Show.... after a day of people sitting on it the paint looked pretty beat up... I wonder how much more upkeep it requries because of its matte finish?

My all time hall of fame:

1973 Z-1A Root beer/orange
1989 ZX-10 red/black/gold
1984 900 Ninja Firecracker Red
2000 ZX-12 Candy metallic lime
2004-5 "race" lime green
1970 H-1 Candy red
1970 H-1 Metallic Charcoal/black
1975 H-2 Candy Purple/yellow

Owned 'em all except the 04-05 race lime, but I had an H1R nearly that color....

That ZX-10 was REALLY pretty.

And remember those candy red ZX-7's with the black frame? Those were beautiful... but I digress....
I guess that's not what you asked.
I like the green, I like the orange, the jury's still out on the titanium.

XL, RE colors for '05. I saw the blue, green and red(darker orange) today. I have not seen the titanium yet. I think the colors look pretty good. I like this orange/red better than last years orange. What I really do like is that the wheels are not the stupid flat black like the ZX10. For those who have not seen the '05 ZX6, the wheels are titanium (?) colored and they had some gloss to the finish. I thought it looked really good. My dealer is also a Yamaha dealer. The GM is a big R6 fan. As we looked at both bikes he said that he thought Yamaha would have to do a complete makeover of the R6 next year to keep pace with the '05 ZX6. I told him that from what I understood that according to Yamaha, the R6 is a comlete rework, this year. Hmmm.

One other observation. When I look at an R1 and then look at an R6, I think the R6 is just a little cheaper looking in some areas, when compared to the R1. When I saw the ZX6 today, I got the opposite impression. It looks like KMC took lessons that they learned from the ZX10 and refined those ideas on the ZX6. Less wiring clutter around the steering stem and ditching the flat black dirt magnet wheels, for example. Plus other positive changes, as well. Way to go KMC. Keep up the good work.

BTW, it is OK with me if you keep the side exhaust on the ZX10.

Ti color sucks the big one. Cheap ass paint job. Give me a break, less paint layers = less cost, pass it on to the consumer.

Blue on the ZZR600 is the best blue I have seen on a bike, imo.

2000 12R green, Honda has it(almost) on a cruiser, that sucks. But I guess thats fair, they had the unfinished paint before Kawi, after they copied Duc.

I always liked the lime green , but only on certain models. I wouldn't pay $.10 for a lime green Z1000, YUK! But a lime green ZX7RR, yah baby.

What ever happended to black? Like the black on a 1993 ZX11C? ?

All the black now is contaminated

Titanium color is a nice change. It was one of the most popular colors at the Munich show on some of the Euro bike mfgs as well. I'd buy a Ti 10.

I'd like to see a flat black, not glossy but flat black. Like they did on the Duc749 last year, and it ended up being a tad cheaper as well because of the flat black paint job.
