Goin south
My girlfrend and I are riding from Lima Peru down to Tera Del Fuego in South America!(flying the bikes) We are going Nov. 20 (aprox.) and we will be we will be gone for almost Four months!(quitting job) After Ushuaia (the bottom) we will head back up the east coast and then across to Santiago to ship the DR and KLR back.Then 3 weeks in peru again to check out the ruins by foot.
Any one been there? Any advice?

Did ya get a new bike? Advice? Get a big overdraft from yer bank so that you can use yer ATM card and yopu wont run out of cash... Photocopy yer passports and leave the copies with a responsible friend or relative whpo can fax copies down to you incase you loose yer real ones.
Put slime in yer tires.
Drink beer.

There's a guy named Tommy Ryser who owns the VW/BMW repair shop in Blaine Wa. Go into Blaine after US Customs at the Peace Arch crossing and continue thru town until the road starts to veer left. The shop is on your left.
He was born in Chile and has ridden thru South America before.
I'm sure he wouldnt mind giving you some tips as he's a helluva nice guy.
