Balancer?
Any one know of any problems with the KLR 650 balancer chain adjuster and how severe.

Yeah, they tend to go bad after a while. I don't know exactly when but I've changed one on my '84 KLR 600 somewhere around 1991. The speedo hasn't worked since '95 so I don't know how long it's lasted......

All I know is they should be adjusted every 4/5000 miles.
