KTM 625 SXC ...uh oh...I just 'bought' a 4 month-old '04 KTM 625 SXC from a buddy...he had some suspension work done to it (We're the same height/weight), some carb work (was running too lean), and had it plated for California (can ride it to the trails...or Baja) ...YEEEEEHAW!!!!....THIS THING'S A RAW ROCKET!...a rockin', shakin', big grin rocket...worse than my KLR650 as far as sounding as if its going to frag any minute now....feels as light as my KLX400, but way, way, way torque-ier...couldn't resist...he cut me a sweet deal ____________ “We sleep safe in our beds because rough men

....everything else feels freeky smoooooof after riding this thing....even my washer out of balance on spin feels smoother than this....but oh what fun!

Right on! Your KTM will get smoother in time. I had a LC 640, witch is the street legal one. I saw 180 KPH (115MPH?) tucked behind the speedo. I know what you'r talking about.

I'm in trouble....I'm jonesin' for an '04 950 Adventure (in Black) with Akro slip-ons, CF tank guards, crashbars, large top-case, and immobiler......but I want to do it right. Nothing's ever free, but I don't want to get ripped off either. I know that the plastic cases and mounting system come gratis per KTM till the end of May(?)(hopefully the dealerships are aware of this).
Your input/feedback will be much appreciated!
BTW...I went out yesterday to the Borrego OHV desert area on my properly suspended (heavier springs for my body weight) 625SXC...a friend once said: "A good bike will make you a good rider"...true, so true....I had a blast in the sand washes and hardpack...love the torque of this engine as I climbed up a sand dune...straights were dispatched with extreme prejudice (needs a steering dampner!)...whoops were gobbled up 'till my my bad knees screamed for mercy ...even dropped off a 4-foot ledge at hi-speed.... smooooooth landing
...then went to a KTM dealership and saw the Black Beauty....like I said: I'm in trouble......gonna ride a buddy's VStrom 1000 over there just to get a back-to-back comparo...
