WHAT???
...no dual-sports rental in Hawaii???...looks like the closest thing would be a BMW1100R...gonna try to rent one for this coming Sunday...its a bitter-sweet reunion of friends...30th high school reunion and a funeral service for one of my best childhood friends and popular Hawaiian radio personality, Wili Moku...he and I surfed a lot, played music on a whim, and ate our over abundant share of the local gastronomic delicacies during our younger and stronger days...he's gone now...I need to ride a bike there and maybe surf the old spots to remember and honor my pal...I will miss him...

...I'll be on Oahu only, and Monday would be the only day I could ride the island...I think he's on Maui, yes?...maybe next time whe I eventually go to Maui itself...tempted to send my KLX400SR one day (since I gotta make room for another bike at my house anyway  ...my bro can garage it at his house...bring parts to motard it when the urge calls...I get the feeling that a lot of the 'off-road' stuff is limited there...
