I figure that I'll see mine around Valentine's Day. If it's sooner, I'd be surprised if it was more than a week earlier.

Our dealer rep told me a few weeks definitely one in December, called the order desk they have no ETA in their computers and they still show January delivery?!?!? So, great if we see them before Jan if not, oh WELL!

BG, if anyone would even have the slightest chance of seeing a 10R before the first of the year... it would be you. Seeing as how your dealer is most likely less than 40 miles from the KMC warehouses in CA, I'd almost figure that he'd bypass the dreaded "regional distribution hubs" and get his bikes straight from the warehouses.
Even if he did have to go through a "regional hub" odds are that it's in or near Irvine. The only trucks your dealer's bikes probably see is his own as they are coming back with his bikes.
In my case, my 10R will be loaded onto a freight line truck and travel almost 1,600 miles to my dealer's regional distribution hub, which is in Houston, TX. Even with my dealer be #1 in the Central Region for more than a half decade, it won't reduce the time it takes for my 10R to arrive here one iota. We have to wait until a truck will be coming this direction. When one does come this way, it will travel an additional 450 miles (over 2,000 miles total) to get here.
If my 10R made a "direct line" from KMC to Houston and than to Little Rock, it would be at least 5, if not more, days in transit alone. At best, I could only hope that my 10R arrives within two to three weeks from when your dealer sees his first one.
Though the KMC order/dispatch center doesn't even have an indicated ETA, I feel that this makes little difference and doesn't tell us a thing (IMHO). In the past, it's sometimes take weeks from this point and other times, it goes from "not knowing a thing" to "bikes rolling out the door" in less than 48 hours. In the case of my 12R, it went from "no ETA to KMC" on Friday afternoon to "sitting in Houston" on the following Tuesday.
There is still 3+ weeks left in the month, so if you dealer hears straight from KMC (can we really trust our dealers' reps?) that one is coming his way... let us know.

Let me help you guys out the only ZX10Rs that come to KMC in Irvine are for magazines and consumer events (demo Rides at major events) all the bikes that are to be sold at your local dealers come from the distribution centers the 10R will not reach you dealerships until after mid-January and then every dealer will get one before anyone starts getting their full allocations.

Hitman, do you know where KMC's POE (Port Of Entry) is? I've always assumed it was likely at Long Beach, with a slight chance it was at Newport Beach. When I would refer to "Irvine", in reality, I was referring to where ever KMC receives new bikes after they arrive from the Akashi Works plant and then distributes them to the approperate hub. I was also kinda figuring that these warehouses also acted as one of the distribution hubs for dealers in that part of CA.
I was just assuming that these the location of these warehouses would at least be relatively close to the corporate offices. With Long Beach being less than 30 miles and Newport Beach being less a little over 10 miles from Irvine, My guess has always been that one of those places was the POE and their "receiving and hub distribution centers" were in the same general area. Is that not the case?
For me, the information would just be interesting trivia, since next month, my whole world will revolve around the Houston hub.

Long Beach is the main port in SoCal. Newport Beach is total pleasure boat only port (it's 20 minutes from my house).

it wouldn't matter if the east coast got their bikes now or not they'd just sit in their garages while they're making payments on them. Unless they hook a snow blower to them I guess. Actually that sounds pretty good, a 160hp snow blower. It would make Tim the toolman Taylor proud

The east coast usually get's them quicker because the California Emissions bike's get held up due to Emissions crap. Long Beach I believe is the Main Port for KMC. Onatrio is where their LA Warehouse for parts and vehicle op's is, it's about 60 minutes from the Docks. Nothing really ever touches Irvine any more from what I am told. Except a few bikes air freighted in.

But the CA emissions delay shouldn't hold up bikes making to the rest of the West coast.

ARRRRGH!
Just got back from my dealer and was talking to the owner about their distribution center and arrival of the 10R.
First, the center for this area is in DALLAS, not Houston.
Second, he pulled out the latest sheets on when they will be getting their new units. According to these sheets, he'll get 1 in January (better be GREEN), 6 in Feb. and 8 in March.
Third, today is the last day one could lock into the original MSRP (before the incresase), if a deposit had been put down on the 10R.

Well, December is obvoiusly out of the question. Defacation happens. I have the first deposit down at my local friendly Kawasaki dealer. 1 in January is sounding pretty good right now.

I don't expect them to show up before Feb. At this point, Kawasaki is going to give dealers the revised release dates in mid-Jan. So that means they won't be shipping till after that. And that means another six weeks before the bikes reach all the dealers.
