I sit on new ZX-10R
Just come back from Milano, and my ZX-14R is broken, damn.
Head is cracked and it pulls air on the coolant system. So it was last ride for this year. Well, 292 km/h on autobahn with broken engine is not so bad. Bike pulls more, but I didn't have guts to accelerate more because i didn't trust the engine.
ZX-10 looks very nice, and it feels very comfortable for legs, there is much room for my size (185 cm).
That's all what I can tell about it without driving, just sitting on it.
Bike looks better in nature than in pictures.

For you Americans, 185 cm is just a hair over 6 feet.

Legroom is quite good. Footpegs are of course higher than 12, but knees are closer and position feels good.
Hands will get weight though.
I don't know what broke head, propably it was broken before i start travelling. In Finnish speeds it is impossible to load so much continuous pressure to engine than in German free speed roads. After 6 hours driving with high speed, only taking fuel, bike start to run hot. Water was missing 1,5 litre. After that if I drive about 130 km/h and no hard accelerate, water was missing after emptying fuel tank about 2 dl, but driving tank and having speeds of +200 and hard accelerate, water was missing about 1 litre.
So now is engine tuning time again.
When I get some info about head, I will tell.

I will be switching them out as fast as i get the bike to the euro style. it will take all of 10 minutes, so it's no bid deal at all.

Because we need to make organisations against stupid laws..
like The others country do.
In France there is 100 hp's limit ( really stupid ) but this it's because an old law ( due to lacks od suspension and brakes etc.. to the older bikes) so real soon that will be gone , that why they making a lots of movement overthere.

It's probably a stupid rule like that. Probably a rule that someone that has nothing better to do came up with.

It's not just the turn signals, but also the head ights and the fairing where the turn signals go.

YUPPERS.....you got that right....DOT crap...gotta follow the rules you know...The signals have to be a certain distance either from the headlight/taillight or from the center of the bike.
not sure of the exact interpretation...but its something like I just explained.
Dont worry...I'm sure all you guys are very resourceful..you'll get your hands on the signals you want.

i'm kinda surprised at those requirements. SAE or ECE doesnt seem to mention such a requirement, just says that they have to be brighter when in close proximity to headlights. just looked up the canadian Technical Standards Document for lighting (took forever to find it) and it does mention they have to be 9 inches apart centerline to centerline, but that's all.
