winter time breakdown

man its chilly here in baltimore i think riding season is all about done for me.... i havent been on here much sorry bout that im sure u can understand why lol

im taking all the plastics off and going to paint the fairings myself... i use to airbrush yander years before the army and just recently started doing shirts again...not the best in the world but i can do some pretty neat stuff.... gonna strip eeeeeeverything down and airbrush/paint the mirrors forks brake calibers clutch cover rear tire fender everyrhting

but while the bike is getting a major overhaul on the plastics i was thinking about doing alil bit of motorwork simply because IT NEEDS MORE POWER!!! bike is pretty much stock no power commander nothing other than a k&n air filter

buddy of mine said do a port and polish with a 2008 zx10r race cam for the intake and take the 2004 intake cam and move it over to my exhaust? also do a smaller headgasket and mill the head? wwhat will this all do for the bike i know it will help it breathe better but will it be a real difference... plan on gettting a full exhaust and doing a power commander 5 with the auto tune and configuring it onto my 2004 ZX10....

OW YEAH......WADDUP SHIPTEEY!!!! whats good boy hope everything str8

I have and 04 that is bone stock just a gpr steering damper. It is track use only and I find it has plenty of power. If it was me and I wanted more power I would just go with and exhaust system and power commander. Screwing with the cams is probably not going to yield a lot more power. Raising the compression with increase stress on the engine reducing its reliability. Rule of thumb is 100 dollars for every horsepower gain. So ten hp will cost you a grand or more. If you haven't done any suspension mods more hp with crappy suspension will just make the bike more difficult to ride fast. You want to go faster put good suspension on the bike trust me you will go faster with more confidence......

Hmmm thats interesting mine pulls like an animal from 7000 to redline. I found Race Teching the bike helped me go faster but then street use is different from race track use....
