New here,sort of.
Just got a new gen 4 ZX10 thanks to BMW. I sold my ZX14 and had put a deposit down on a post recall BMWS1000rr. Then i found out the bikes were being fixed in the New Jersey port and i bailed and went and picked up a new red abs traction control ZX10R,and am glad i did. I have learned it is just as stout with a reflash. I have had it two weeks and have a Zero Gravity db smoke M4 street slayer slip in carbon fiber PCV rim stripes for starters. Reflash and a quick shifter are coming soon. This is an awsome bike. 130pounds lighter than m.y 14 and the same horse power.

The flash transforms the bike. Wait till you ride the re-flashed version. I have an 09 14 SE, the new 14r SE, as well as the Gen4 10r ABS. I used to ride Hondas (and still do) but Kawasaki has really been on a roll the past few years with their updated products. The BMW 1000rr is a good bike but is still having reliability issues. Once outside of warranty the parts cost on the German bike may make it prohibitive to fix ( replacement motor $12K - wow!). I don.t even bother with an extended warranty on the Kawasaki bikes and I have had zero problems with all of them. Enjoy your new bike.

You can get the reflash done at Brocks Performance I believe its Guhl performance that does the reflash thru Brocks. 345 bucks for reflash but remember it does void your warranty. I won't have mine done till its out of factory warranty......

Don Guhl will flash it back to stock for free if you have to do warranty work. Thats a hard deal to beat.

Congratulations!!!! That's the same reason I went with the 08' ZX10R vs a 2006-2011 ZX14 (not talking about the ZX14R 2012 or 2013, those are BEASTS!!) less weight, great feel, better fuel consumption, super close HP and torque! I can't wait to get my Zero Gravity windscreen. I'm going with light tint sport touring model because I do a lot of highway riding
