Hopefully this bike will be better than the GSX-R1000 (lighter, more powerful, better handling, faster). I really can't see a true statement being made with it just being equal. In order to re-establish itself as a powerhouse of motorcycling performance Kawasaki has to unleash one heck of a two-wheeled fury on the rest of the market. This is the weapon by which they can stike the lethal blow. Just like the CBR1100XX in 1998 and the Hayabusa in '99, the ZX-10R has to take over its class and hold that position firmly for at least a year.

Streetable? I hope not. If I want something "streetable", I'd either keep my 12R or get a ZZR. I hope the new 10R will lean far more towards a uncomfortable "track bike with turn signals". My 12R has never been used for short "in town" jaunts, but solely for weekend 200+ mile excursions on twisty back highways.
I got my 12R because '97 7R was getting long in the tooth and the 9R was not exactly a true liter class bike. I wasn't interested in "streetability" back then and I even less interested in it now.

Bwaah-haah-haah! I'm just thinking of what it would be like to put a wet nitrous setup on my ZZR. A 5lb bottle would fit nice in each of the Corbin saddlebags. ____________

Who cares about streetable, if you want a couch buy a harley.
Bottom line is it better haul balls, turn on rails and stop like a brick wall, cause the new r1 and cbr are coming and they are bringing alot of ponies. And what about the new liter MV with 180hp thats a bike to bad nobody I know will be able to afford it.
