The new ZX10 is for real, my buddy has his tuned and makes just over 180 and on a stingy dyno, completely stock everything else. Do not believe the hype on those who say the record setting 1/4 mile beemers are "stock"' they ARE NOT. Whatever the BMW makes to the back tire, mod for mod you better add 5-7hp and that is what the new ZX10 makes.

PRETTY INSANE!! That's straight haul'n ASS!!... Do you know how many bikes I see at the track that are built and are barely getting 160mph "if" they run 160?!... Damn! Got me look'n at my 09' side ways now!... Well, its inevitable.... 2012 ZX10R has made to my "I gotta have it list"!... 09' model is my track day tool and the 2012 will be my drag bike! Gonna paint a big ass double edged sword on the sides with a strong hand holding them! Not settling for a flashed ECU because it obviously has a lot more to offer if its doing all that with a slip on and a flashed ECU. Time to hit the gym and finish gett'n in shape! Yeee Haaaw... LMAO... I guess this is how cowboys feel when they're about to straddle that one horse or bull they've had in the back of their mind!

Rickey G has somewhat dialed the suspension in and has his clutch hand working better and clocked the lowered stock wheel based ZX10R at 162.10mph with a 9.1 second trap.... I don't know how much power that thing is making but it has to be pumping to build up to a speed of over 160mph!.... That's how I like to do a new toy... Get as good as I can at a stock wheel base lowered bike and then stretch it and knock over a half second off my times instantly! I can see it running mid to low 8's.. If it does any better than that I'm gonna piss a lot of people off with my childish antics and all the naa naa na naa naaa's and lmao's in here! LMAO @ cha ... Ready to see the best of the best do battle! BMW S1000RR defending its crown against the ZX10R....

Put it to yall this way,162mph on a stock arm with a slip on. Add an arm like brocks bmw "christine" and you build mph in the 330 ' your talkin 165 in the 1/4 mile. Then add a full header system and NO ONE iis close. Not even the "decked to hell head" full system equiped bike I was just refering to... yeah, thats rite.

Well if I trust anybody's word about their equipment its Brock!... Although, he did poke Rickey in the side say'n he had a small tail wind as if to say that's how he reached 162mph..LOL... But at the same time gave it respect as if it really didn't make a difference because the 10R seems to be capable. Rickey had the S1000RR and a 10R to compare and Richard Gadson ran them two times each with the 10R having the best time. Brock also stated that the S1000RR didn't have a Brocks exhaust system... LOL... But my question is did/does the 10R have a full system at all??

He got 163 best mph, the beemer got 156 so maybe he had a tail wind also. BTW, it would have been interesting to see the mph with JT back on it.

LOL,. Yeah he may have had a tail wind also. I do remember a video of Jeremy's first ride aboard the S1000RR and Brock didn't have 1 problem with his times! LOL.. I'd like to see him getting familiar with them both and see what his fly weight can pull off. One things for sure! He doesn't like wheelies so extending them a little would help! One thing is a definite between the 10R and the S1000RR is that the BMW's midrange is an advantage that the 10R isn't quite on par with and it can't be cured without making a mod so its just gonna be an advantage in the BMW's corner that could possibly be a win for it in the 1/8th but a possible loss in the 1/4 mile. I'm going with the 10R no matter what because the 10R also has a power to weight advantage that could keep it right there until that sleeping monster gets its second wind and rolls past the S1000RR! I love this ish! Can't wait until Suzuki decides to spend some money on R&D and put the 1k in the running. Gotta love Kawasaki because they started all this decades ago and they will prove that they still have what it takes to get out front! The only problem is staying out there these days. No such thing as ruling the streets for 10yrs anymore! Two to three years tops if you don't brought to your knees after the 1st year.... Hint..

Like the zx12 though a bit worse, the 10 has no mid range. All you need to do is raise your launch rpm and guess what, no mid range problem. In a drag race, gear for gear, the zx10 never gets below 8800 rpm, so there is no "mid range" to worry about. The only thing we are seeing on the time slip on rickey's 10 is a hard to control 60' which I am sure is forcing him to stay in that weaker mid range area thru the entire first gear. The beemer doesn't have the advantage if neither bike is in the middle of the rpm power band, and if it's 8th mile or 1/4, wot its pretty much 9krpm and up. like I have been saying all along, put an arm on that bike!

My thoughts also... I can't wait for a good arm and exhaust system with a tune to get slapped on the 10R! I'm so ready to get one to race its pathetic! When I got rid of my Busa in 03' for a GSXR1k (because the ZX10R wasn't available) they wondered why until I started winning almost every race I had on it! I just love the hell outta liter bikes! So much potential and so much fun!

i ride an 05 zx10.I understand what rickey the legend is saying but kawi, especially on the zx10's, have always claimed power an what not but have not showed that on the race track! The debut so far for WSBK has been so-so! Lascorz put in work with one 5th place but the rest has been dismal! i rep kawi green everywhere i ride, its kinda disappointing with all these high hopes they lay out as actual facts an when reality sets your just like O!..ok! Lets win DAMMIT! All of sudden the slowest bikes are the fastest! Honda,Aprilla, triumph! what are they doing!?! My next bike will b the 14 because of riders like rickey who have proven the bike to beast! I could b happy to rep that! My zx10 being an 05 evrybody knows what thats about but these newer additons aint cuttin it!
