So the reality here is that this really does not have anything to do with the zx10 video... it has to do with the fact that 'they' are trying to take over all of the motorcycle web sites.... Maybe 'they' know who shot Kennedy??!! I don't believe that people are buying up (or threatening) web sites to try to kep any negative press shut up about a bike. If that is the case... then they all would have be in on it... Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Duc, Aprillia, Harley... and they all benefit from negative press on the other guy. And I truly do not believe it is JUST Kawasaki as what you seem to be saying. As I said earlier... I like this site... and I don't think you are lying... what would be your gain... but we are missing a part of the puzzle??? Did you tick someone off Fish???? (Besides Shane....) I am not trolling or bashing. I am trying to figure this out. If the dealers want to own the mags and the sites... that is not really going to do much for them as they are competing against themselves. We would only get all the good press on ALL the bikes. They all want press on the bad in the other bikes. Plus, one of them wold just have a site that bashes the other bikes. We would have PRO Kawi sites and PRO Suzuki sites... as well as ANTI Kawi sites and ANTI Suzuki sites. We know if you buy a magazine... when you read it for a few minutes that one of them paid more in advertising for the month. None of them are fair. Right now, the fact that the American zx10 is restricted is in all the mags. Not just at this site. Again, I like this site and do not read any others so I have nothing bad to say about you... but it just doesn't add up the way it is being said. Publish what you have as it is past the deadline (as you have said) and we can see the video and get behind you. I realize you may not get the sponsorship from Kawi.... and may not get the EXCLUSIVE bike tests as you have but we will be here anyway. Shane can be annoying... but he says what he feels. So do a lot of the members. That is what has helped us all out. This site tends to be pretty open about stuff but once in a while Fish gets narrow minded on topics. That is his ability since it is his site. Some of the members do the same thing. It is all good info so we all can see the extremes and find the middle ground. Let's just do what we have done and that is say what we want. I don't think that members will be pressured to buy the zx10 if they don't want to... or not buy it because of what Fish thinks or says... (or posts). I for one have a zx14 because I like the bike, so I came to the site to talk about it. I didn't come to the site to see if I wanted the bike. I make up my mind based on all of the information out there and am not foolish enough to base it on one read or one test. I assume everyone else here is the same. If BIG brother is reading this..... we want a supercharged zx15 with NO restrictions and a double seat so Steve will be happy (with room under the seat for his Honda pamphlets).

I know it makes no sense but that company really did buy all those sites and this really is happening. As best I can tell this is a corporate response (overall) to attempt to "deal" with the Internet . Someone sold them on the concept and they bought into it. Read through that list of sites cuz it's all true.
And we can't show the videos even though we have every right to. We have been compelled to by no legal reason.

Human - you don't get it - they've made threats towards some people we care about. Posting the video elsewhere doesn't change that.
Though come 530pm on Wednesday when that bike goes on public display we will turn the videos back on - kawasakis threats will be meaningless then

Fish after reading the way they did Duc and the back door threats to get their way is not just Good Bussiness........at least not for Duc and others. You could be next, I get it.
Screw Kawasaki, don't bother to worry about the new ZX-10. Their loss if Bikeland does not film or print one good thing about it. It's Free adds for them if you do. Good thing this is Bikeland not Kawland or Ninjaland............... no name association for them to strongarm you with, like they did Duc.

Kawi might be alarmed the euro crowd is creeping into profits. BMW and KTM reporting best world sales ever as all the jap brands are in the slumps.
KTM is biting hard in the off-road, enduro, and adventure bike markets. Used to be only the preps, hispters, and "upper" class opted to spend money on Aprilia/BMW/KTM bikes. Now they're common place in the market.

I have said before.........good HP to weight ratio....but me purchase one?? Besides they are for the very young and not for tall over 40 old Men like me. A one hour motorcycle and rest my old back and wrists.
Not enough Dealerships and one's over here are not use to working on this new engine. Parts.......that a joke.too expensive and you have to wait for them to come from overseas.
Brock can play saleman all he wants I am not buying into it. The ZX-14 fits me just fine.
To each his own...............just not for me.

It is all about sales and what you can buy right off the showroom floor. Period. Right now BMW holds the cards as to what you can get off the showroom floor. People use stock numbers as a baseline and feel they can go up from there. That spurs sales. So let's think of the logic, I can buy a bike with 180 RWHP off the floor. Or do I buy a bike with 160 hp off the floor and buy a pipe which means I will need a PC and a Dyno tune to get it to run right and maybe, just maybe it will have 180 RWHP. Hmmm what if I did the same thing to the 180hp bike would I have more hp???? Seems so.
No, if Kawasaki can't engineer it to match the BMW it is going to be a flop and all Kawasaki can do about it is try for damage control and say ... be a pussy and buy this easy to ride under horsepowered pig with lipstick.

The new 10R, when unrestricted, should trump the BMW. 
I personally don't care about what it does stock...and the last thing I want is a bike engineered to appeal to the ignorant. The hardware and hp potential of this machine is impressive.
I'd love to have one!

But what will you have to buy to uncork it? Another 2k worth of electronics and pipe? Now you have a $17,000 liter bike. Or did they restrict it? Could be that it is underpowered and make us believe that it an EPA thing. Good reason for owning the news outlets. They may be just using this site as a puppet.

Like I say, most performance folks install a pipe and power commander right off the bat.
Any speculation on costs to derestrict is just that....speculation.
How much does it cost for 29mm buckets, a .400 lift cam, and 47mm throttle bodies? You probably don't know, because you aren't serious about going fast.
I see all this hate on Kaw, when the EPA is driving this change. You can bet it costs Kaw more to make two different models.
