fuck Kawasaki ..thats after 21 years of buying from the 1985 GPZ 900 to the 2006 zx14 . i am very unhappy with KHI customer service dept and dealers

I dont know whats going on in the background here but I think everyone should take a deep breath and relax.
I didnt watch the whole clip so I dont know what was in it that they may not have wanted to let everyone see.
I'm trying to figure out why they are upset.
Fish, is this a bike in your possession on loan for testing and reporting on? and you filmed this stuff and they didnt like it? Or do they not want you taking the bike apart?
Or they dont want you showing stuff before the mags do?
I dont think this site is overly critical of kawasaki of any other manufacturer. This site has been a boon to kawasaki for almost 10 years. I think this site should get the products and scoop before anyone else..... print or internet.

I think Kawasaki got pissed @ the part of the video that showed that the bike will not pull to redline. On start up the rpm gauge flashed to red line. However, it was stated that when the bike was tested it fell well short of red line. I guess Kawasaki wants the buyers to figure that out after they have paid $15,000 for a bike that runs no better than one you could buy for $9000 or less.

All I saw was that you could store one I-phone under the seat---not two phones--just one.....and THAT was a tight fit. Is THAT such a huge surprise for a sportbike?...maybe they wanted to keep that a secret...or maybe they are marketing it as able to put TWO cellphones under the seat and you busted them....dont know...

Apparently the double standard is that they dont want any INDEPENDENT coverage - the same info is okay to be hosted by Motorcyclist, Cycleworld or any Verticalscope run forum - you need to educate yourself on that because a few years back a marketing company named Verticalscope bought most of the biker forums including zxforums, zx-10r.net and more. they also bought motorcycle.com . Part of the promise to OEMs is control of content and material. Kawi has control over those sites - note that there has been raw footage of the 10r on the track and even on the dyno on those sites - topics with pics of guys riding the bike in the wild - riding impressions etc... that's all controlled by verticalcope -
so if something independent that's not part of the spoon feeding information machine is released (say by bikeland or hell for leather) kawi freaks out because they didnt have a chance to control it.
so there is a double standard.

I go through bikes like I do underwear. Everytime I get a bike my family asks me if I'm gonna keep this one. That's when I knew I had a problem. I am in fact on the lookout for a 2nd bike. Just a much cheaper 600 for track days.
Now if Kawi would of come out with a cheaper and stronger zx10r I would have definitely considered doing something. Maybe not right away but maybe next year pick up a leftover or used one but knowing what I know now I'll just keep my eyes open for a cheap used 05 zx10.

Shane are you now defender of all things Kawi or what? I'm a Kawi guy for life. This is actually my 4th ninja and even had a few Kawi dirtbikes growing up. I just call it like I see it. The new 10 looks like a flop.

No, I'm not a defender of all things Kawi...but I laugh when I see the biggest complainers also being the guys who wouldn't buy one anyway.
It's funny...just like the guys who are whining like mad about needed a pipe, or ecu mod...yet their current bikes are sporting full exhausts, power commanders, ignition modules, aftermarket quickshifters, etc.. Ridiculous.
