I just saw this on psycho bike as well. now I would like to see it on the dyno we use for comparison to my busa and what my 14 did cause the dyno I use reads high. on most dynos those are Busa and 14 hp numbers. and light weight. if that's legit that bikes going to fly.

I call BS on everything I see and read about this bike based on he way Kawi has handled this entire release. IMHO no one should make any decision until we can get a real production / retail bike in the hands of someone we can trust - and that's NOT kawi's marketing dept.
* note the hell for leather bit is also referring to a modded bike with a replacement ECU- not the piece of shite joe consumer will have the honor to shell out his hard earned cash for.

sorry guys..... we may have to just look overlook fish on this one.... he has an anti-kaw bias..... lol.....
The article says the ecu was mapped.... end result was +4 peak more than the bmw.... which is about the same as leovince ended up with.....

Look - if telling the truth is suddenly a "bias" then you have a fucked up perception if reality - you just restated exactly what I said - the bike's been modded - it's NOT the piece if shit you get to buy - it's been fitted with a race ecu and then custom mapped fir a custom exhaust. How much do you think that will add to your already $14,000 motorcycle??

Any bike you buy you will put a pipe, P/C and tune .. Who keeps their bike stock away ? I don't care if the new zx10 makes 200 at the tire i'm not buying one ..I'm not buying a BMW either ..

where does it say they added a race ecu? it says they "tweaked" the ecu and i believe them..... now if i had some type of anti kawasaki bias i may find it hard to believe.... but i don't .. so i will take their word for it for now....

And it's a fact that the only ecu kawi supplies that can be "tweaked" "modded" or "mapped" (call it hat you want) is the race ecu the only way (currently) to uncork the bike - and BTW that info is DIRECTLY from Kawasaki - you know ... the people who's word you "will take for now" . I'm not giving you opinion - I'm giving you fact - I know this hurts your fanboy feelings but there's nothing I can do about that. A fanboy is a fanboy and always will be. What's funny about this saga, is that fish had no problem believing the bs when the shop in Calgary supposedly got ahold of one and did an unauthorized dyno run and posted numbers well less than the german crap.
Now that the real story comes out, he cals bs 
One reason I love this website so much is for the entertainment factor.

Still buying one? 17k in a bike? I guess everyone has different priorities in life or you must be making 150k a year. No way I'm forking over 17k on any bike. Maybe when I'm 60 years old and have a couple houses paid for and a little money stashed back I'd probably spend 17k on a good cruiser. No way a new zx10 is worth 17k.
