If it needs to go faster.......he will come.

I HIGHLY doubt Brock would turn away from a new machine in the 1k class.........if Kaw had spent that much $$ on redesigning the 6RR, then yeah.......he'd probably ignore it for a while longer..........less reputation on the strip compared to a litre bike.

I foresee him having one at his shop before the years out, and more than likely getting us results posted up by spring sometime.........Hell, he does this shit for a living.........and makes a fairly lucrative living doing it..........he will deliver to us what we so desiringly need

There is an awfully big market out there besides straight line racing

You got that right...........but alot of the members here are straightliners, so we're the minority here man.
I have seen some footage on YouTube with a test model 2011 at a track somewhere -- looked promising but nothing to compare it to..........it was the only bike in the vid.
WSB's Kaw teams definitely need some help, and the 2011 may give them a bit more advantage - but MORE power isn't the key so much as usable power in roadracing...........Even though Sykes' looked good lately, I think he may be advertising himself for a new team moreso than finding power/speed out of the 2010 Kaw -- so it's hard to say right now............I got my feet up, waiting...........patiently..........for all of the 2011 season! It's gonna be a damn good race season with all the changes being made

Brock makes his money on new bikes arriving fresh to the market that sell..with the many changes of the new 2011 ZX-10R (as per specs) be safe to say he will be all over it...it's about the money to be made folks...and Kawasaki has more ZX-10R buyers than BMW has 1000rr running wild in the streets or at the tracks...any track...drag or circuit...you heard it here first...

Doesn't look like Kawasaki intended this to be a drag racer.

If it's anything like the 650R with the "horizontal shock" then he'll be selling a lot of high-dollar shocks, 'cause there is NO ROOM for lowering links.

The shock has to be shorter to lower it ................... KA CHING!!!

OK, bad wording on my part.

Everyone knows the "intended purpose" for this bike. Same as the BMW.

Have you seen the PICTURES of the BMW Brock modified?

The point being, based on the PICTURES, you won't be able to buy some $80 lowering links to lower it.

I could be wong ..................

Honestly, we don't know anything until the bike gets into someones hands. And I wouldn't be surprised if a longer lower or upper mount and clevis could be adapted for a reasonable cost.

As for the BMW...I saw the one Brock modified. It also had a drag shock on it...did it require one? Or was it simply a performance mod?

Well it looks like since the US and Canada versions of the new 10 get 22hp taken off the top, along with 2k rpm off the redline, it might not be quite the butt kicker we were expecting. At least the europeans can tell us about how much fun kawi intended it to be

Here is what it says on the Canadian site:

PERFORMANCE

Maximum Power 131.7 kW {179.1 PS} / 11,000 rpm
Maximum Power with Ram Air 138.3 kW {188.0 PS} / 11,000 rpm
Maximum Torque 112 N.m {11.4 kgf.m} / 11,000 rpm

That makes no mention of the redline. It is where peak power occurs, just as I suspected.

Just another ploy to sell you a "race only" ecm, just like they did with the 6.

Did some math : 6th gear 1.348 x primary 1.681 x final 2.294 = 5.198 Qverall
190/55/17 tire = 25.23 in

6th @ 11000 = 159 mph

6th @ 13000 = 188 mph

6th@ 14000 = 202 mph

Sounds like that 11000 limiter is just a rumor.

I can't imagine that Kawasaki is gonna put a liter bike on the street that's gonna have 600's coming by on the big end ...........
