Picked up an 08 Zed10
I don't see much going on over here but I thought I'd post up anyway. I got great info on this site when I had my 12. After my 12 I got an 05 10, sold it, and then played with an 03 busa for a while. I've had more kawasaki's than any other make so I may be a bit biased. I like the fact that after the horniness weas off you can score a good deal. I did that on my 12, 05 10, and I think I did ok on the 08; I paid 8299 + tax from Sky Powersports in central FL.
I've got a little over 300 miles on it so far and it is proving to be one hell of a bike. The handling and braking are top notch. It's pretty comfortable as a street bike too except thhe seat is a little hard after 100 miles.
I'm going to try to get some time in this weekend and stretch it out. I had a few opportunities the other night and it really does haul the bacon. Pretty smooth for a kawi...I recall that my 05 seemed buzzy when I first got it.

Great job! I did the same thing except for owning a busa. 12r, 05-10r and now the 08. Once you bolt on some naughty bits the bike really wakes up. Good luck with your new bike, it outhandles your 05 and is faster up top. There are no bikes in my area that can keep up.

Thanks, I'm hoping to come across a Beet exhaust to get rid of the cannon.

Thanks for the education, you covered many of the things I'm trying to decide on...especially the flies. I'll be leaving those in for now. I plan on a PCV and still need to figure out which pipe. That alien head looks sweet but I also came across a smoking deal on the titanium akra. Has your friend thought about switching up cams at all?
It's funny you mention the stability, there's always a trade off and it is noticeable. Having spent alot of time on an 01 zx12 and an 03 busa I really liked how those bikes felt like freight trains. This ten requires a crouch approaching 18-wheelers on the freeway or the buffeting is intense. A twist of the wrist solves the problem though and I think the braking and handling are worth the trade.

No cams, I think he is in over his head already, and I imagine he does too.
