Well I had an idea so I did it. I think it looks good. I designed it in two parts so you may see a thin line between pieces. I did it so anyone can install it. In one piece it wants to wrinkle but in two pieces it was easy to put on. Was coming out of the coffee room and I was thinking, man this bike is hot looking but damn those cross eyed lights. So I pictured it with something on it and designed it. What do you guys think? should I make adjustments?

Thought I would throw in a picture of the whole bike. Its snowing like crazy outside. If any one wants a decal like the one I put on its no trouble to send one. Pretty easy to install.

Thanks, glad you like it, I think I am going to try it in Matte Black as well to see what looks the best. The way it is right now the black is shiney like the paint so it does not stand out much. I will let you know what I think and post another picture. Only takes about 5 minutes to do so maybe later on tonight. If it looks like crap I will switch it back.

Well the verdict is in, I am sticking with the matte black for the headlight crosseye eliminator. I had a feew motorcycle critics come by and have a look to see if they like it better, and they all agree on the matte black. Shows up better. Looks more aggressive. And now I can look at the front and not go argh....

headlight crosseye eliminator <--that really makes this bike nice. had Kawi thought of such, maybe we'd be seeing more ZX10's on the street.

I was talking to a friend that works at a dealership that sells all the jap brands and he said there is very little interest in the new ZX10 since the redesign and it seems obvious why

Thanks Steve, Its the only part of the bike the messed up on. I Love the side view, and the fender eliminator fixed the back, but the front was obviously an afterthought. The Kawasaki engineers can sure make an engine, but the have gone the cheapskate route on the fit and finish department. So far all the other Japanese bikes this year are on the edge of blowing it as well. Honda snub nosed thier bike, Yamaha ruined the beautiful front with the ram air headlight combo, Suzuki with its cruiser style tail pipes. Kawasaki made the front look like a bug face, big antennae mirror stalks and buggy crosseyed looking headlamps. I can look at the front now. The only other thing I had considered is replacing the mirrors and installing turn signals in the fairing. That would clean it up I think. I dont do track days so the mirror turn signal combo to make it easier to set up for those days does not matter much. No tracks close enough and not easy to get on it anyway.

since the new 09 ZX6 has the same crazy cross-eyed lights, you should market your design!

Its easy to do, just need a bike to design it. I do a lot of the local cars here doing the same thing with thier headlights, it just only occured to me the other day that I could do the same for me. So bz doing everyone else's stuff I hardly have time to do my own thing. Hate to use this site to makes plugs for things I do. I just Love learning about bikes here. My little things pales in comparison to some of the cool and inventive artwork others are getting done to thier bikes. The problem with doing your own artwork is everyday you can think of something else to do to it so after awhile I decided to leave it plain. Then I dont have to think about it. But those headlights...., the head guys in Kawasaki need to go downstairs to the design department and give someone a bitch slap. If you look at the yamaha, the Honda or the Ducati, they make the headlights look like angry eyes. The fairings dip around them to make them look like that. Except the yamaha of this year. Very cool.

Good Idea...I got the design to convert my 04 ZX-10R headlight to employ both sides high and low beam from a guy who sold the kit from a forum...although he was eventually kicked out for marketing from the given forim...lol...

BUT THE IDEA WAS GREAT...VERY HAPPY WITH MY DUAL HEADLIGHT CONVERSION...

IF YOU CAN MARKET; YOU CAN DO THE SAME AND MAKE SOME MONEY AND IMPROVE ON THE HEADLIGHT APEARANCE KAWASAKI IS CRANKING OUT NOWDAYS...but it does take time and effort...like anyrhing...

Yes I know, I would rather have fun doing a bunch of different designs than focus on one thing. Lots of bikers come in and have some cool ideas, Puts the challenge to me as some things seem impossible and with a little thought sometimes I can make it happen. Did some banners for kzscott in the 12r forum and whoppi as well. It was good fun. I didnt make much money, if any, but was cool to do. Love bikes so it does not feel like work. Sent them a bunch of decals as well. You would have to ask them if they liked it or not. I will soon get a direct to garment printer so I will be able to have fun designing stuff on tshirts and stuff, had a lot of requests for that lately so its a no brainer to have one. Like I need to be busier... I work 16 hours a day now.. going to make it tough for riding this summer. argh........Oh well, I WILL find the time! :o)

was at the local coffee shop last night and the verdict is in. Without saying anything about what I did to the headlights, the guys there who had never seen my bike before all said, they sure liked the front, it looks so aggressive! About 20 guys had a look and they all agreed. I never told them I fixed the headlamps. I was pretty happy about that so I thought I would share. Had a couple of bikers driving by stop and come in just to look at it. Now I dont have to cringe when they walk from the side to the front anymore. Would recommend the fix to anyone who owns an 08 10. 2 bucks worth of tape. Local sign shops should be able to help you out.
