Any Pirelli tire users in here?

Just wandering about miss matching a Corso III front with a Strada rear. I have only been getting about 1200 miles out of that Corsa III rear, I heard the Strada is a good tire. I do push my bike hard in the turns but I aint no road racer. Any thoughts

I was running the Diablo Super Corsa's till I decided I didn't need that much tire on the street.

Justed that combo on a 3000 mile loop of US 395. Works great as the strada & Corsa have the same profile. Both tires had several thousand miles & numberous track days on the corsa. Now that they are shagged (after 7000+ on the Strada & 5k on the corsa) the rear takes longer to warm up. I recommend the combo for your discription of use. For extended aggressive riding (ei track days, long 100mph runs in Nv.desert) the Strada gets soft but breaks loose predictably and controlably, but for all other uses it was great. Especially in the rain. I willbe trying the Dunlop Roadsmart's for this winters riding. It rains "some" here in Western Wa.

I love the stradas as well i enjoy the mileage that they provide. I use my 14 as daily commuter and for trips and the stradas stand up well.

I'm running a Diablo front and a Strata rear for the summer commute in Phx Az.
I't's a good combo. The front has started to pick up groves a little but nothing scary.
The back will wiggle under pressure but it is progressive right up to a slide.
I have about 4,500 and should see at least another 2,000.
Not much rain here so....

It was a hard decision I was going to get the pilot powers ,
or the 2ct's. but i'm happy with these but those bridgestones would slide, and not in a good way.

I've ran the corsa III front and rears on my 14 for a while now. Thinking of going with the new bridgestone multi-compound tires that just came out. They have 3 different compounds on the back and two on the front.

Thinking of going with Pirrelli, what are the differences between the Diablo, Strata and Cora...........and how do they hook up and last compared to stock?

Pirellis have improved this year and I ran the hell out of them last year.
Dont know what aftermarket Bridgestones are like but the Pirellis are twice the tire on the track as that stock junk was.
Did 6-8 track days(about 1500 TRACK miles!!) on the Corsas plus about 2500 street miles before the rear was toast. Great grip wet and dry. I lap time at novice racer level times and love to bust the rear loose on high speed exits. The Corsa IIIIs handled it all well. Never a doubt on hard deep braking or trail braking. Higher turn in effort and steady pressure to maintain lean angles. But that is a trait on the 14 too. Stays hooked up unless I wanted to bust em loose. Ground off the bottom of the oil sight glass and my shifter. so extreme leans are possible and confidence inspiring. I remove my lower fairing for the track as they would be trashed by now.
The Stradas are a good touring/commuting tire. I thought the front felt hard but not as bad as 1/2 worn stockers. Very good in the rain at sensible speeds but I could push them past their limits without too much effort. I ride in alot of rain. Cold rain all winter. That is why I'm gonna try the Dunlop roadsmarts. A cheap comparison.

I thought the strada kinda sucked for agressive riding.
it did wear like iron... gripped like iron too sometimes though...

I'm definitely a fan of the stradas. The are not, and arent intended to be, as stick as "full" supersport tires of course, but for sensible street riding they are perfectly capable, and as others have said they last forever. I'm welll thru my third set. They do seem to take a while to warm up before they are really nice and confident on particularly aggressive riding. The only time they've ever really let go for me was a few weeks ago on Skyline boulevard north of Laguna Seca. On a slightly off-camber corner, with full on San Fran fog (really suspended rain more than fog) and thus a soaked roadway, and a 100ft stretch of pavement that was ONE BIG FUCKING TAR SNAKE... it just couldnt get any grip. But I seriously doubt ANY tire would have done all that well in that unique situation.

And there is at least one track school that actually used stradas on their track bikes. Can't remember which one or know if htey still do, but I remember reading about it and seeing the pics.
