For the price of velocity stacks, how much horsepower do you think you would increase it by?Not much.Work on a set of wheels. They can even be transferred to your next bike.

as far as sprocket changes you need to determine what you like ; if for street use at least 1 less in front; but in junction with +2 in the rear would help..then again it will wheelie easier in first ect..just start with 1 less in front and see for yourself...

I don't miss top end..but I prefer 1/4 mile performance and have it streched out with 7" swing arm extensions...who goes 180 mph on a regular basis? I don't..and there are not much for curves where I live....I enjoy my transmission and shifting much more as I have it...I gear my ZX-10R very low...I enjoy it that way...

Have fun...

Thanks.. I'm actually saving up for a nice set of marchenisi wheels .. can't wait to get those.. and even though I'm not going to get much horsepower with the stcks.. what the hell.... I have nuttin elkse to blow my money on.. except girls, booze and drugs.. not in that order though

I ride mine on twisty roads and although when I go down to sea level I can loft the front wheel in second coming out of corners, it is geared too low. I hit the rev limiter between corners, and shifting into third is just a waste. And a tooth down in front would make it worse.

depends on how twisty the roads are and what gear you want it in on corner exits...my Zx10 is geared -1 in the front, and +4 in the rear. This is obviously for the track, the one I usually ride is very tight and technical. In the mountains however it worked pretty darn good too. And it keeps me from doing the 1st-2nd shift. Once you are moving there is no need for first gear on any corner. And it does decent power wheelies out of the corners in 3rd.....heheheh

-2 +2 here, but it's a track bike. Wheelies at Buttonwillow in third, sometimes fourth (Lost Hills). Wheelies at 4100 feet MSL in third, too.

Like HDL, I'm trying to avoid shifting through neutral.

-2 +15 here...hahaha..but that partly cause the Micky Thompson drag slick I run at the track yields tall gearing...on a normal tire on the streets I run -2 + 8...not much top end (135- 140) but she is a blast to ride and go thru the gears ....even just normal riding yields awesome get up and go.........the 7" swing arm extension keeps the acceleration forward...

have fun...
