I think i have to agree with you because my o6 10 has 150hp stock trim. The only reason I have kawasaki is because I know the distributor for the caribbean and I think Im getting a good price for the bike. Almost everybody at the track are using gsxr. Im about the only one on a 10r, so its different.
So you're telling me that the 08 is not that fast? What about front end feel? Transitions from side to side? What pipe are you going to install?
Thanks for all the input!!!!

I am a lil shocked to hear the power numbers of the 10R. I have an 06 w/ Akro bolt on, PC III w/ Quick Shift, K&N, and -1/+2. The thing pulls like a bat out of hell. Haven't ran up against another liter that i couldn't stick with or pull. The front end comes up under hard acceleration very controllably. My buddies 05 R1 will top me out eventually, but that is after he catches back up with me and the last time i rode with a 06 GSXR 1k there was no big dif other than he was more experienced rider.
I have wondered though why Kawi hasn't made a better showing in the pro circuit other than with the ZX6. DAMN GSXRs, knew they were cheating, Ducati too!

The ZX and the GSXR stock the power is about the same except the gixxer doesn't have as hard of a hit bc it actually makes power down low, so its easier to ride fast on a track. Now once you start going into the motor the gixxer is a god of all 1000's i mean like high compression head gasket, degreed cams, and a good tune with some mrx 1 or what ever its called and you got 180hp+++++ and thats still stock!!!! Now a fully built Muzzy superbike 06 ZX-10R motor with forged everything never budged 180hp. and yes the 08 is faster than the 06/07 model

my 04 Zx10 made 161 on the dyno at 3000ft elevation on 93 pump gas. With only an Area P slip on and a K&N filter....and it was down 1 in the front. I think with the Kit ecu, thin head gasket, cams, stacks PC and custom map and a good exhaust it would be mid 170's.....I may be wrong though

What im trying to say is that ZX doesn't respond as good as the GSXR once you start going into the motor.

dude I am glad you didnt waste your time....the master cylinder took a shit and the front brakes locked up.....the master cylinder is holding pressure on the front calipers......oh well time for the new one I guess....

Hey Tibo, do you know if I can run my braided lines that I have now with the old style mastercylinder, or do I need to buy new lines as well?

Jim, I have a stock one you can borrow for a little while. I'll be at the track Saturday around noon-ish.

I'll need it back after the races, so I can put it back on my bike in time for the WERA races weekend after next.

thanks Dave, but I got a new one for the bike today, I should have it installed and bled out tonight. I do appreciate the offer though.

Hopefully I will be there on Thursday afternoon so I can ride on friday and get a feel for the brakes and tweak the front forks. They are leaking and will have to come apart this week and have new seals put in them.... guess I better make note of what the settings are....

I'll be doing a few laps Saturday, but not many. I need to save my tires for Sunday and next Friday at Button.

I'm quite certain you'll be ahead of me with all this practice. I wish the track were closer to home.

ok thanks man, I might need to call you on that...I will put your number in the phone again.....Junior found me a set of calipers and is trying to work a deal on them. They are used, but they got them mounted up with the radial master cyclinder and they work good.....so far.....now I have to pay for it all....

stopped by the shop today, the brake lever feels better than it ever has.....if the mastercylinder stops the brake fade.....then I am golden, if it doesnt.....I have no choice but to go to all aftermarket parts....time will tell....

Brake issues fixed....woo fukn hoooooo....after 4 years of messing with the brakes on this bike I finally have brakes like they should be.....Its taken replacing every part of the front brake system, except the rotors.....but it stops consistently now and has really helped my lap times at our local track....and has made me a lot more consistant in my lap times....
