Damn that Honda curve is smooth! Not that the Kawi one is bad :P

I think you definitely get better value for money with the Kawi. I find Hondas too expensive.

The Honda is dirt cheap , out the door for $10,483. Hard to beat that value for an '08 litre bike. southernhonda.com

Now the thread will change to Steve said "HONDA" and the dead horse will be beat

HAHA,

Around here the honda is about R20 000 more than the 10. That would work out to roughly er... 3000 dollars more. Dunno how they even sell bikes because of that.

Here in Canada where the dollar is at par pretty much with the American dollar the both bikes still list for over $15,000!!! While car prices have dropped 5 - 7000 in list price to compensate, motorcycle dealerships still raping!!

Considering the U.S. dollar is heading towards ass-wipe status, I don't know how the Japanese can offer U.S. consumers such realatively low volume, high tech equipment, at such low prices. It appears the rest of the sportbike world must be helping subsidize our market at this time. Thank you Canada, thank you Europe, and especially thank you China for lending the bank the money for my bike loan.

Does Canada tax harder? Why are bikes so much more there?

I can't say for sure if that is the case but I see dealers already advertising 08 Busa's for $12,999.00 before any real negotiation even starts and summer isn't even near yet. Most of the dealerships around here have gone out of business in the last couple years because of extreme insurance rates for sportbikes. It's ashamed you can't be young and enjoy all that horsepower the ZX10 is putting out.
