I'm not going to judge Maladdin's character, but many claim he's an arsehole both on the track and off

Not in the least. I've known him personally for a long time. He is anything but that. I think people are not use to someone simply being straight forward and honest. I don't consider it to be blunt or arrogant at all. Simply refreshing. Even at the track, while he is more focused than most, he's extremely professional and polite. But ask him something stupid and/or about a subject he's passionate about; you may get a blunt answer. Off the track and while doing business with him through Mat Mladin Imports, he is a very nice guy.

I don't recall that at all. I watched the entire race on TV. Looks like somebody manipulated the video with the movements being so quick and out of focus during the supposed finger salute.

Thanks Kerry, I haven't met him other than walking by in the pits. Plus per above I'm not one to judge character until I get "perfect' one day which ain't happening

I agree with Kerry - Matt's a decent guy, he even went slumming with us and our local riders in the low rent section of the pits for a bit at Infineon.
We sell to his import company, Mladin's Imports - and they've always been straight-up and decent, too -
