The graph though, power under the curve is more important than peak.
Thanks.

Also, I know you had the new Ninja 250 in your shop. lets see some of those numbers. That already hit the show rooms. They are going to race it at Willow and I want to see if it's making more than 34h.p. with your exhaust.

Our numbers were from a pre-production model and I haven't been cleared to release them. The difference from stock to our Slip-On was very dramatic. Perhaps too much as the bike may have been from another country, restricted, or who knows. We are always hesitant to release numbers on pre-production bikes anyway. So... when our US production bike arrives hopefully this week from KMC, we will run it again to back up the numbers we already have. I will be happy to release them the moment we run the production bike.

Ninja 250 ? Who said I had a Ninja 250 ? Man, I'm gonna have to start closing the doors to the R&D side of our building, jeez .... No, it's not making more than 34 hp with just the exhaust. Nobody will make 34 hp with just an exhaust change, that would be in the 35% area from stock baseline. But it is making a very significant power increase over just a Slip-On. We're up close to 20%. And close to 25% after 10500, up to soft limiter of 12500 rpm. We did not have any jets to correct the rich/lean fuel curve. If we would have had time to jet it, we would have gained another 1 or perhaps 2 hp. Our full system with a Carbon Fiber muffler will probably cost about the same or less than the competition's Slip-On. I will try to post a graph tomorrow on the 250.

Thanx Steve. We'll try and post a pic of it tomorrow, along with the graph. The bike we have is kinda a mis/mosh of parts and no-parts. So you may have to use your imagination a little. Green fairing, red tank, no tail section, and missing a whole bunch of other stuff. Perfect actually for R&D. But you'll get the basic jist of it.

While awaiting our ZX10 to be broken in, here's our graph on the new Area P 250 Ninja Full System. Very stout increase on the tiddler.

"Skittles". Perfect name for that 250.

We'll have the production 10 on the pump early next week. I can say that initially, you can tell that the production version is more stout than the previous one we had. Always nice to feel that. I would think everyone should be really happy with the overall package of the new 10.

Ya I'd like to see that line up too. But raw HP isn't the most important aspect for a superbike by far, once the pro's and magazine writers get to ride both bikes I think the HONDA will have the refined suspension that wins lap times with the same rider hands down, and on the street the rag writers will say other than red light to red light the Honda is a better performing bike all the way around.

Not that I care I've owned several of each brands and if life treats me good I'll own several more of each.

And I might eat some

We'll have the CBR shortly.

We do the dyno testing for motorcycle.com. If pal Kevin Duke (fast guy) said he really liked the "overall package", then it's a good bike. It's obvious that it's the best litre class bike Honda has made. Key word is "Honda". That doesn't necessarily mean it's the best litre bike for '08.

With the litre class bikes anymore, they are all so close that I think it's the overall package that's key, more so than just all out power. How can you possible go wrong with any of them. I've got so many on the wish list, I don't know which ones to start with. Let's see....

Need to talk with Rob about a ZX14 Turbo project. Need to add the the new ZX10 and CBR1000 to the stable. Would love a 1098. Still like that limited edition white Busa and being friends with John Noonan is rubbing off. '08 is going to be a great year for Sportbikes.

That is such truth and 100% reality, but it takes the fun out of this great whole "internet debate" posting such truth!
