my ZX10R isnt going anywhere.....espicially after I spend so much money prepping it for the track.....lol

not yet Steve, I fitted the plastic installed the Elka shock, had the Traxxion Dynamics AK20 kit put in the forks, put the clip on's and rearsets on the bike, and installed all the woodcraft covers the other day. Took it to the track last weekend to sort the suspension and some other stuff. Sent the plastics to Crashtech yesterday for paint...I have some pics of the process on my camera I will try to get them up sometime soon.

The older ZX10s look 1000 times better but what if this thing just stands out compared to not only the older ZX10s but bikes in general? If it is THAT good of a year, I may pull the trigger on one :P
And I don't see it happening. A few more raw HP to the rear wheel and the critics claiming it lacks again on suspension/handling is what I suspect. And I don't like crow!

I don't see ever getting rid of the black '04. It was just so revolutionary for Kaw. It's like owning a CR500 or KX500. Fast and Nasty. The '08 just appears to be a better version of the original. Might "need" one....

I got a chance to sit on a new 10 and check it out thoroughly...I have to say I dont like it at all.....granted I have not ridden it, but to me its not appealing to look at.....so the 04 is in no danger......lol

I'm trading way down. selling the Ex-Attack Sstock bike and moving to the ninja 250 series at Willow. Kawi is paying top dollar for this class. Plus tires are killing me. I didn't finance my IRA this year because of Dunlop.

That will probably be more fun anyway. There's going to be a whole lot of people dicing together in that new 250 series.

A lot of people are wanting the 250 for a track bike. I didn't realize there would be a whole series.
We've been knowing for a while Kawi would be uber-successful with the redesigned 250. It'll probably be a bigger hit than even Kawi expects.
A sweet ride like that for $3000 bux and 70-80 MPG, chit I want one too, in GREEN hehehe
Promise if I get my hands on one I'll post pics of it on the track, and bet my lap times will be consistant with my 600RR.
Only challenge I see is the triple/tree/fork/single disc front brake. But I'm sure the mods will be available quick.
