DAMN! Takes me a MONTH to reply. Pretty weak, eh?
Haven't really "gone" anywhere. Just been busy trying to run my 50 year old, small family business into the ground. Having hired my daughter as GM, a few years back, she's been making real hard to goof off or ignore clients.
All the "joys" of taking over a business my parents started the same year I was born, including having an older sister as a partner, has resulted in 12-16 hour workdays and until recently, weekends too. I might be a "co-owner", but I'm still the one that fixes the commode.
Having finally moved our lil' screen printing shop into the 21st century with the purchase of a 60" digital printer, the "transition" is never as smooth as one had hoped. Throw in the facts that my t-shirt printer died (literally) last month and we're about to start our "political season", hasn't made it any easier. We're a union shop and make banners, decals, yardsigns and all those political promotional stuff.
One thing is for sure is that my "baby" is rather pissed at me for ignoring her for as long as I have. I still have my '04 10R, but instead of logging up tens of thousands of miles like I did with my '97 7R (69K) or '00 12R (49K), after almost four years, my 10R has yet to see 17K.
Between three years (04-06) of managing our CMRA race team and work, I've been spending more money on my bike then I have time in the saddle. Never put a PCIII on her,(still pulled a 154 RWHP recently), but have completly redone the suspension (Traxxion forks & Penske shock), Vortex adjustable rearsets a various other little "poser stuff" and she's just begging to get out.
That's why come Hell or high water, I'm going to be with HDL and the rest of the guys in Suches, GA this May.
