I know that Kerry has one over at Area P, but his lips have been sealed tight about it. I am curious to hear about whats going on with the 08.

Hey K. Bryant> official 08zx10r specs already released long time ago (kawasaki.co.uk kawasaki.com kawasaki.de and so on). So you should be able to tell us something (at least on this little forum )....what do you think?

If no, then ...when?

According to my estimation about 84 ft/lbs and 163 RWHP without ram air of course !

approx 400 lbs claimed dry weight.

Now we need other bikes besides it to compare.

P.S. Why graph seems to be cut off at the ~12000rpm?

No approval yet to release the numbers. I can say that the percentage of increase from baseline to slip-on was much higher than noted on the Yosh graph above. The Area P Slip-On is "complete" with a large diameter mid-pipe that removes the "boom-box" section between the header and oem muffler. Perhaps the Yosh version retained the box. Our's carried through to 12600 soft limiter.

KB, with your slip-on are you unable to retain the fairing piece that covers the ''boom-box''. Does that piece bolt directly to the ''boom-box''?

Did not retain it. It's not part of the fairing. Just did not see any logical reason to keep it. It's a metal heat shield for the boom-box that puts out a large amount of heat, so I can see the logic in needing it with the oem unit. With ours, there's just no reason to add the weight of that shield back on to cover nothing at all. It just looks out-of-place with our slip-on.

There's a picture of the prototype on our website;

kerry how did you like wrenching under the hood?
Was everythhing reasonably accessable
One thing I like about the GSXR1000 is 5 bolts, slip the tank up on the hinge and everything is right there.

Much higher would seem to be at least 5HP more or 167 RWHP.

170 at the wheel? c'mon thats the happiest dyno known to fackin' man out of a 999CC motor. Its common knowledge an out of the box ZX14 doesn't do that on a real dyno. WTF ya'll beleive this? PALEEZ LMFAO

ZXHOYA's dyno is more realistic above. MCN I did not realize is full of pour BS
