Its a monstrosity! must've been a typical rush job, and look Kawi forgot to powdercoat that bike or ran out of time to do it right.
An obvious rush job was when they forgot to engineer the turn signals on the front and then made an abortion project out of the afterthought signals?!
Maybe they finally have a bike that will handle as Cycle World editors suspect.

I don't care about looks of track plastics on any bike, I was surprised that guy posted on "looks" regarding two track bikes any way.
And track bikes are what we're getting out of the box anyway, the shootouts will compare our gig

ya I know don't ever take me serious on the net and I could care less about the ZX10/Honda thing I'm not brand loyal!
OK but I think for '08 HONDA will take the lead regarding performance :P

The turnsignals were engineered that way on purpose stevie!
The signals are easilly removed with the mirrors.... both of which nobody wants on a track...
LOL
Suzuki likley has trademark or patent on the signals in the mirror, so kawi had to put them on the stalks.
Truly , you should have known better.

I don't think sazook has a patent, duc put them in the mirrors long before suzuki unless I'm mistaken (1098?). If those two brands can do it, so can Kawi. And they are just as easy to remove IN the mirror as they are "ON" the mirror :P
Its hard to subscribe to Kawi putting them there for "quick track removal"?
They'd have been better off leaving them in the fairing !
Oh well....let the shootouts begin
Some diehard "only Kawi makes the bestest bike" type folks in here, I'm really surprised about the depth of it.

BRO PERSONALLY i AM BIG FAN OF SUZUKI, !
Japan has patents which prevent stupid little details like that.
I remember honda had a patent in Japan that would not allow the other manufactures to run their front brake line directacross the front fork, as Honda did.
For years we were buying aftermarket brake line to remove and extra 6 inches of hose, and a 180 degree bend.
The direct hose routing made a very noticable change in lever feel and brake power, and as such the Honda's had the best (stock) front brakes in MX 125, 250 and 500 classes for many years.
Their trademark or patent ran out around 2004 and everyone started selling their bikes with the set up.
