nasty handle bar vibration

Im new here so any help is greatly appreciated. I have a 06 ZX10R and at around 3500 to 4000 rpms I get a nasty vibration thru the bars to the point my throttle hand will go to sleep. I had a tech test drive the bike and he noticed the same thing and suggested i check here. The bar ends are stock so maybe heavier ones will help...

You could load the bars with buckshot, this helps alot with Z1000's.

But if the vibration is overly excessive and due to a problem it's better to fix it than to cover it up.

thx adam, the tech said something similar to the buckshot too. he also said it wasnt any diff from any other 10 he's riden out of the dealership. Its silky smooth below 3500 and past 4000. just looking for ideas really or to see if anyone else had the same issues.

That is VERY common on the new 10Rs. Check these out:
Manic Salamander Kawasaki Bar Ends

Someone told me that the OEM ends are 178 grams. These are 390 grams! They eliminated the vibes I was getting at 4,000-5,500, but moved it so I now have it at 2,000-3,000 RPMs. I don't mind that because you are barely moving at that range.

There are several manufacturers that have weighted bar ends. Can't say about the others personally, but I hear good things about Motovation USA bar ends. They have a 270 gram and a 320 gram version.

Motovation 270 gram
Motovation 320 gram

Hope this helps.
