Cleaning filter inside oil pan

How to clean the screen in the oil pan?
I can see the screen and some dirt stuff but not sure exactly how to clean?

run gasoline through it?

The whole plastic piece pulls off and you can use diesel fuel, then blow it out with a air hose. Gasket sealant is usually the culprit.
