HP for zx-10 rods

How much power can the stock zx-10 rods take before they let go?

ok maybe I need to ask a different question, how much power are you guys stuffing through them without any rod issues and if you had rod issues what power were you at when they let go. Common this is where you can brag about your power boys

How much power do you want them to handle? Turbo or nitrous? For what kind of use?

hahah, well that is a down the road kind of issue, it will be a turbo bike, drag bike. I was talkin to someone yesterday that mentioned 500hp on stock rods and I about crapped myself trying not to laugh and he told me they use really good metal with their rods. I dunno, I want to know what has been shoved through these motors without issues. I assumed 230-240 like the gsxr

I know of at least one running 250 with no issues, assuming correct tuning (controlled detonation) you should be fine under 300 I would guess.

The 500hp 10 is prolly the Muzzy turbo, everyone is always amazed that they run stock rods in all their turbo bikes.

Yes, I was talking to curt and he told me that they ran stock rods in that motor, it was a one time thing they they will not sell but, I can believe the rods held up, then again it could have been a one time dyno pull. I am curious how many rip sessions down the track that would hold before booooom. He was telling me that kawi makes their rods with very good metal and that they have never had a problem with them. I would just like to know what guys are stuffing these things too.
