Depends on the wind resistance of a rider.. which is dependent on rider size.. than you have who have who had the better launch from a dead start...or which rider is heavier can make a difference.

Those are three factors anyways...

I believe the 06 ZX-10R would get there quicker myself...(with both light riders of equal weight and size)

Just a guess..hard to find those two bikes entirely stock on the streets...so it's kinda of a hypothetical question ... few keep their Ninjas totally stock...maybe someone else tried it can say better...I raced a stock ZX-12R with my 04 ZX-10R and verified could pull harder during the last of the 1/4 mile easily.. I missed a gear twice (faulty set quickshifter) he caught up and I soon pulled away ...but I had aftermarket muzzy pipe and tuned with powercomander.. he did not...

I also own a 12R Fully Modded and a 10R fully modded. I rode both just last week and I swear the 10R seems Quicker to me in every circumstance. Seems like it just spins up quicker than the 12. I need to get one of my friends to ride one of them and do some racing to see for sure. These things can fool you. The old AZZZZZ HOLE dyno can play tricks.

A guy in town raced me on my 14 with an r-1, roll ons, no standing starts
His is geared down1 frt, up2 rear, otherwise stock, and he weighs 25 lb less than me.

Mine has brocks smeg, flies out pc-3 mapped, stock gearing i walked away everytime.
His bike is geared for about 155 mph, mine was stock geared for about 198-200.
Now, if I geare mine for 155mph.......

He told me he spanked a stock zx14 with his same setup, which I would believe...

IMO....
Anything but top speed, I imagine a zx10 is quicker than a zx12...

A 2006 ZX-10R has about 10 more hp than a 2005 ZX-10R .....a 2006 ZX-10R has been reported to have ( at least ) the same peak hp as a 2004 ZX-12R ( a few more actually) being much lighter to boot I give the edge to the 2006 ZX-10R...

Also take into account one exact year bike can differ 5 hp easily from the next due to factory tolerances ect... on average a 2006 ZX-10R should win that contest..
