Hadji has no clue, this is a true 3rd world country....even with all the money in this country, it goes to a select few....so most have very little....which means no electricity at times...I have gone through the city and had whole neighborhoods go black as they lost their power.
And the lack of a sewer system is a an entirely different story all together. Oh and did I mention that there is no garbage pick up, so ask your self, if nobody is picking it up, where does it all go......

lol...no trick question, its lays all over, in fields and on the streets....makes it easy for them to hide their IED's......Hell they have little trenches that run down the streets, that is their sewer system.....have to watch where you step....ALWAYS......

hey guys just cheking in for a miute, I have been moved to a diferent FOB up in norhtern Iraq, I am now near Tal Afar Iraq, up near the Syrian border...its much quieter up here, but we dont have as much to do as it is a far smaller post than the one I was on before. I have been spending lots of time in the gym as there is not much else to do here....lol
That and watch movies...We dont have the net in our rooms here so I have to go to the Troop to get online, kinda sucks, but is saving me money....lol

HDL,
It was a hell of a race practice Saturday - 45MPH winds with gusts to 60. Sunday, Thomas was frustrated by Tiras in most of the UL classes. He's gotten faster... down in the :14's.
I spent a weekend in the low :16's and high :15's (still not comfortable on the Pirellis), and the best finish was a 4th... frustrating. Mickey and I traded spots all day. I did keep the Great Pumpkin behind me, though. I've made the decision to sell the 636 and only race the 10R, so I've stopped racing the MW and HW classes...
My buddy who I pitted with these last few weekends is headed back with Blackstone, I'll see him in about 3 months.

Jim, it is great to hear fromyou again. Melissa and i are looking forward to seeing you and Kelly when you return home. I hope to be riding on a new 10 or 14 by the time DG8 comes around, time will tell. We can not say thank you enough to you and all the troops that you are serving with, we are very proud of all of you. Keep the commo lines open and if you need any thing from this end let us know, AND KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN THAT IS A ORDER TROOP.

Thanks steve...will be glad when this is over, 22 more months untill retirement, and I cant wait.
Those are good times Dave..I have dipped into the 15's only a few times, I usually run low 16's. I have only one lap I know of in the 14's. Thomas must be flying. I think I am going to buy a 600 and race it in 08. It will be more affordable for me and I can run in more races. I still havent gotten my poster for winning the beginner race before I left, hopefully Roger still has it. I think I am going to make the 10 a street only bike again...not sure yet, plans are changing daily for me, so who knows what 08 will bring.
Mark, I really look forward to seeing you and Mel again, I sure do miss you guys, along with the rest of the smackhouse guys...I think I will see if I can get ahold of Otis when I get to MI on leave, seems I will be flying into Detroit when i go on my leave here in a week or so, still not sure what day or what time I will be getting there, he may have to work, but it would be great to see him if only for a few.
I will talk to all of you all later....have a good one, and ride safe...HDL

dad is going to pick me up in detroit and take me back up home. Most of the family is up in Gladwin, some are in Saginaw as well though. I would love to see ya brother even if its only for a short time. I am not sure what the pans are for vacation are going to be, what dad has planned....I will let ya know more, he and I might just have to hop on the bikes and take a ride down there one day...hell its not like he has to work...I have your number, and will keep you posted as to the day time that I will be flying in...will be in MI for prolly 2 weeks

hey Chris just got a note from mom, she is going to throw a BBQ the 3rd of June at the house, I just wanted to extend an invitation to you and the family to come on up, the house is on the lake so the kids can swim and we can all sit around and drink a few beers, for and drink are on me bro, just have to show if you can swing it.
I would like to extend this invitation to anyone else in the area that might be able to make it. The house in in Gladwin MI, up on Wiggins lake. I will give a phone number to the house in a PM to anyone that might make it.
If anyone sees Scooter (Greg) please let him know about this and tell him that he and his wife and kids are always welcome as well...I owe him some beer, as I do to you Chris....

Dave, wont be home until February....at the earliest....I wont be back out to the track until 09. I think I am going to try to find a 600 to race and will probably end up gettting rid of the ZX10. I really have been looking at the new GTR 1400's. And I wont make 2 bike payments, so looks like the 10 has to go, unless I can save enoough money over here to just buy a new 1400 outright when I get home. We shall see.

FWIW, I am about 99% positive my wife has bought me tix for the Indy GP, seats in the SW Terrace.
I'll need to spend some time with a buddy who works for the track, but Jackie says we can be rowdy with unsavory characters for a little while, that is, of course, if she actually were to buy us tickets.
