Thanks zx1kr!!14 brks on my 10

Wow, wow,WOW. What a difference! I put a few hundred miles on my 10R today after the hubby put on a complete set of 14 front brakes.(master C and Calipers) I am SO happy
Those are the brakes that bike should have been born with. Thank you so much for that hot tip zx1kr.

Hi Lucky Lo.

What about the brakes on the 06? Are they the same as the 05?

I have absolutle no idea... sorry. The only way really is to offer it up and see if it'll fit, or search out some who has tried it.

No. The new bikes have radial mount brakes. The 00 12R has side mount brakes. You might get away with it if you got a set of newer lower fok legs. But I would'nt guarantee it.

Lucky Lo, this is Jeff you know the Jeff that knows Greg and Tyler. What is your hubby's opinion is the whole set up or just the master cylinder.? By the way I will be going on Feb. 5th to the track with you all. Just an update I have put on set of Ohlins road & track forks to go with the rear Ohlins and as we speak I am getting a factory ECU and power commander along with a full race exhausted installed. I think thats it.

...that's what I was kinda' thinkin'...if I keep on convincing myself to keep it, I'd like to one day do a full front-end swap of a 14 onto my '00 12R...and the rear brakes and wheels, too...

Saaaweet! nice mods, did you come into some $$ or ??? . Glad to hear you're on board for the track day. You'll have to talk to the mister yourself about his tinkering. I'll PM you his address.
See ya at Willow

What about some Galfer HH pads with steal braided lines? Those are better than going to stock 14 brakes on the 10...right? :P

Na... I think there are 2 big differances
(1) Each piston has its own pad, this stops any twisting or bending of the pad between the pistons.
(2) The radial straight pull master clyinder gives great feel and feedback of the Nissan calipers.

I think a Gaffer wave rotor might be a good addition to th 14 brakes as there have been some reports of warping

You learn something everyday. Thanks TM!

Wander why they didn't make a pad for every piston like my '03 636 on the 10?
