Head Gasket and brakes ...done

Spent yesterday evening and today putting in a thin head gasket and replacing the MC with a Brembo radial MC.
The head gasket went pretty smoothly, but talk about putting 20 lbs of stuff in a 10 pound bag. Cleaned everything within an inch of its life. I had ordered a cam chain ($65) because mine seemed to be getting noisy. Well IT WAS STRETCHED, the adjuster was all the way in. I have 15000 on the bike but it spends most of its time at high RPM.
The MC is sweet, I already had aftermarket lines and the install went well, The brake light switch is a pressure unit that is also the banjo bolt, The spacing is setup for stock banjo fittings, the aftermarket fittings are thinner so extra washers were necessary. The best way to bleed a MC is to back bleed it. So all that needed to be done is spread the pads and installed new ones and all the air is pushed out. I have not driven the thing but the lever feels great.
I have a set of Pilot Powers 2CT tires, but I am going to wait till next season to mount them, I will wait till the roads are clean again.
I also removed the EGR system. Nevada gets California bikes.

No, the spacing is where the holes line up for the fittings.

To be honest, I did not even check it. I just stuck in the new chain and called it good. I did check the valves. Only had one close to the tight side and one close to the loose side. But both in tolerance.

Damn I am such a wuss. My hands feel like they went through a meat grinder. I guess sitting behind a computer screen doesn't make for tough hands.

Spacing? wtf? Hey kids, you're moving hydraulic fluid, not cargo containers. Even a 10% overlap of the fitting to the groove on the bolt is going to surpass the flow restriction presented by the ID of the lines. Get the jack-ass looking extra washers out of there and cut the bolt like a real man. Just kidding, I think it looks great with the extra washers. Real GP level ingenuity. Carry on.

I used the silver washers that came with the bike, Can't even tell. Also they are thicker than the copper ones.

Anyway the Brembo fittings come out the bottom, very hard to see.
There are plenty of threads left and cutting the end off would do nothing. I am anal an want the holes to line up perfectly, even if there is no real effect.

Gotta say though, the adjustment on the lever is sweet. I have big hands and like the lever far away.

Well, I'm analler. The thought of those extra washers in there is going to have me constipated for a week. I hope this weighs on your conscience, what with the spirit of the season being so crassly violated and all. Now where's my enema bag...
