Any 06' 10's Making over 170 h.p. w/ Only Pipe and PC?

I was "underwhelmed" when the final "Tuned In" # displayed.

I knew a guy with a 560 hp Camaro. He knew it had 560 because he took the manufacturers claimed stock hp and added the claimed increase from all his bolt-ons. Sound familiar?

165- 168 hp with those mods. Maybe with a real good tune you'll see 170. Its not impossible thats for sure. I made 166 with PC and modded stock exhaust so with a good pipe , why not.

The "Kicker" here is that the stock system made 165.7 h.p.

My only concern Psycho is that the dyno you are comparing to was at a different time... Ever thought of throwing on the stock system and doing a back to back? Just a thought.

That is what the Correction factor is "supposed" to eliminate......Weather variables.

If you compare the UN-corrected #s it is less than 1 h.p. difference.

The only way the stock exhaust would go back on is if I sold the Akro.

NOT even close to tapped out from the factory.. They have too many laws to follow.

Kevin and I just made 170/82 SAE with an Area P half-system, PC, no secondaries/shaft, and cut OEM filter. Pump gas. I am more than happy. I guess the stock header is not too bad. -Dean

I got 170 hp with my 06.... Full Arata exhaust, ECU and pcIII(for easy mapping) the mapping was from a Akrop from dynojet. Runs great not sure if I will even bother with a custom map....

mine came with aftermarket Leo Vince pipes from factory, a promo offer.
would this make bike slower on take off, but more power up top?
never ridden 10r with factory pipes, demo bike had one pipe on side.
thanks.

mine doesn't have a great deal ot torque below 4000rpm is his normal.

Is that it? Is it so hard to believe, that a straight from the factory ,No VIN#s(before Attack got there hands on it), hand built, AMA superstock bike can make 180hp? If they can get a Superbikes to make 200+, you don't think they can get a Superstock bike to make 180?http://farm1.static.flickr.com/174/479008624_d946b5a424.jpg It's got more than a fast motor too. It has a prototype Ohlins 25mm internal gas charged cartridge kit. Very cool!

Beautiful bike. What can you tell us about the extent of the blueprinting? Both intake and exhaust race cams? What redline?

Thanks,
Dean

I don't know much about the motor to be honest. I road it at Willow one time before I bought it and then I broke my collar bone. I can say this, I had a '05 10 that made 159hp with a few mods and this bike feels like it has 50 more hp. It's the little things on the bike that amaze me though. Everything has been mod'd in some way either to make faster pit stops or easier access to something. When you roll the bike off the ramp you can tell a difference between this and a non factory race bike. The chain, sprockets, bearings, brakes and wheels are so perfectly aligned and lubed it rolls like a bicycle. You don't even have to push it, just walk with it. Kinda funny and embarrassing. On my first ride there is not a fuel light and I ran out of gas on turn 6 going into 7, so I popped it in neutral and coasted the 3/4 of a mile or so back to pit lane.
