No problem D. I guess this is encouraging news, more of a hands on approach?

Rob Roston is a friend of mine from Montreal.
I e-mailed him and he said it's only Eckl that's gone, the rest of the team is intact.
Clearly KHI felt like he could have accomplished more, or maybe Nakano leaving was the last straw. I'll see Rob next month at the Toronto bike show and interrogate him then.

Don't forget: the current 'workshop' is owned by Eckl. With him gone KHI will need a new place, looks like the new HQ will be based in Holland (the Kawa EU HQ is also here).
Don't think only Eckl will go, some others will too....Eckl is said to go to Illmor. He worked with Suter on the ZX-RR until Kawa decided to ditch Suter's chassis and clutch etc...

Didn't Eckl recently hop in bed with the with the upstart Ilmor team. Not to implicate them necessarily, but I seriously doubt that the other gp teams are pilfering Kawasaki's know-how. Either way, I fully understand Kawasaki's position on this. Given enough evidence, I wonder if the dirty LS word (lawsuit) isn't in order here. I'm all for a competitive Ilmor team, but not at the expense of Kawasaki's efforts. Team K has channeled a lot of energy and resources in bringing their brand to the front of the GP class and it was just beginning to pay dividends. Hopefully, the in-house Kawasaki program continues to excel. Personally, I never felt that Harald Eckl was doing anything profound other than manning the ship.

I smelled a RAT the whole time with that Team. I'm glad it's over! Nothin like running and managing your own team / Company!! I just would not trust anyone in that field especially!
