broke in?!

i,ve got just over 2k on "the bitch" and while rolling 100% throttle and 208 lbs. full forward through 1st gear she will stand straight up. wtf? the hp is crazy it never did that before. of course its managable but before it was only tire skip. its been over 600 miles since i,ve got to ride hard (working 70+ hours per week and the local police want a piece) but there is deffinately a large hp increase. anyone else notice this or am i losing my mind working so much....and yes she is 100% stock.

sooo.............. you're surprised that a 160 rwhp 400 pound bike with a 54.5 inch wheel base will pick the tire up in first gear with the throttle hung wide open?

By 2k it is definately broken in , whether you did it the right way or not the rings are as seated as they will get.

The big difference in power you notice is likely cooler fall weather approaching.
ambient temps will make huge seat of the pants differences, especially if you have not ridden lt since it was very hot out.

maybe your tire pressure has dropped, and its hookin instead of spinning too!

noooooooooooooo i live to ride hard. after 1200 miles i started to hang her out. the most fun i've ever had on a bike. wheelies are acheived easily. but running someone from a rolling start was never an issue just heavy tire skip at full throttle. shes been babied for the last 600 miles. and of course every clown on 2 wheels wants to race me so why not ....nice gsxr piped and who knows what else. from 40mph he got the jump, i wracked down on the throttle and she came straight up after about 50 feet. not a rise but jumped up on 1 wheel. totaly not expecting that at all. backed off regained control worked the throttle and passes the gsxr on one wheel. let off at about 150 ish but the gsxr had given up and turned off. and to dubious you are right i live in south texas average temp95 degrees f. with 80% + humidity. 2 cool fronts have passed through bringing the temp down to the low 60's. that was probably the biggest difference. and yes she was properly broke in. i didn't drop $10457 to get her out the door to destroy in a year.

Up on one at 40 in 1st -- yup, that's exactly what they do and the 04/05 is worse...06 is tame by comparison
Try a Brock exhaust and see what happens...
