I'll take pity on you... mine's a race tire. The Power Race 190/55, all the PR rears operate at 22 psi plus or minus a bit depending on the ambient temperature.
I think Fish was pulling someone's leg, though, or he's running PRs, too.

Some of the new DOT race tires call for really low rear pressures. It's amazing to watch the CDN superbikes on Pirellis, they look like the rear is half flat. Clearly ideal pressure depends on the design of the tire.

Michelin race tires...are running 22-23 rear, adn about 29 front.....I am running 31 front and rear with hot tires withthe Bt002's. Was running 34/35 hot with the Pirelli SC's. Street tires generally run higher. With the Michelin Pilot Powers I was running 34/34 in the mountains or on the track, and 36/36 on the highway, was getting very good wear out of them, adn good traction.

If you don't mind me asking.... what speed are you at when you drag your knee on that corner in the first pic? I've taken some decent corners at a fairly decent speed and I've never really even gotten close to being able to even try putting my knee down. Lack of experience is probably a big part too...

Your knee will drag when you're not thinking about it. I have a 30" inseam 5'7" and the only time I'll get a knee down is during a track day or setting up my own circuit in a parking lot. I don't have the balls to even attempt it on a yellow line. With my short legs dragging a knee is serious lean angle unlike 6ft + guys who can damn near destroy a set of pucks with 4 trackdays. My corner speed is decent I just don't hear those pucks scrapping that often.

Better off that way...that stuff needs to be reserved for the track anyway. I try to stay off that in the streets.

it has nothing to do with speed.. it has to do with body positioning and leaning the bike. You can drag your knee in parking lot at 15mph. just remember that the bike can lean a lot farther than you think... also remember that the goal is NOT to "touch down" the bodywork or even the pegs... people that tell you you're not leaned over because you arent scraping yer fairing are twits.

Thx guys... hopefully some day I can experience the rush of getting a scrape on the knee, without landing on my ass... I guess I'd need a bike first, as some "twit" stole my 10...

I try not to drag knees at this point, just costs more money, usually the only time I drag a knee these days is if I got to hot into a fast corner and just lean it wayyyy over. Then I will pick it up and only use it as reference for the track and how far I am leaned over...or if I get so far over that its the only thing between the ground and the bike. Usually my foot is scraping at that point and I am not a happy guy.....lol
I use to try to touch my knee the first time I did it on the street was at Deals Gap, I thought it was pretty cool, but as pucks run from $30 on up and dont last long I try not to do it.

On the street oneof the best things the pucks do for you is save your knees a little more in the event of a crash.. I've seen two crashes in two years where the puck took a beating and the riders knee was uninjured!!! Both events would have been much worse had the pucks NOT been there.. Just a little added safety..
