Dubious - it's neither - the rotrex is substantially more efficient than earlier superchargers, and as such, it is quieter, smaller, and runs much cooler than older blowers - for more info on the supercharger unit itself, check out www.rotrex.com - as stated above, I'm trying to a 14, but it's a bitch to work on.
As far as Frank's kit is concerned, the shipping company called me an hour ago. The bike will be here monday between 10 and 2 (they had initially said friday, but apparently had some truck issues).
And Gunner, my land speed GSXR (the pic above, showing it during build) outpulled a Ferrari Enzo on the freeway from 55 to 225 mph. The look on the guy's face was hilarious. A combination of awe and absolute rage that is million dollar toy just got walked by a motorcycle.

Oldest lesson about riding is...........................Never waste money trying to make a small bike run like a large one....................Keep moving up and when you run out of places to move up then start with the motor work. Yes a 14 is larger than a 10R BUT the line gets drawn between intended use of the bike..

It seems to me that if you had a bike that was as agile and light as the 6R, and the power of say the 14, that would be awesome.

I typically tell people who want kits for their 600s to save their money and buy a 1000. HOWEVER, we have made a couple of ridiculous GSXR 600s. If the blower unit itself weren't so freakin' expensive (yes, even to me. Retail on the C15-60 is over $2200 - that's JUST the supercharger unit itself), it'd be easier to build some wicked fast 600s, but as it is, the 1000s have greater potential than a blown 600. Additionally, to really make the 600 a sleeper, you'd want to do serious motor mods (pistons, rods, valve springs, clutch, etc), and now you're talking $10K-ish in terms of hardware and labor.

Sure thing Dick head Haul that stretched POS up to the GAP anytime and I'll see you on the other side.. I use my liter bike like it's designed to use FUCK HEAD!! I turn corners... BTW, I'm going to knock this bike out as fast as possible, since all you 10 guys have been calling non stop the last week or so. I'm just sitting here right now (almost noon local time) waiting for NAVL to drop her off. I'll take pics when she gets here. I'm planning on yanking the motor today, and the rods are supposed to be in today as well.
PS: I've dragged knee in the Berkeley hills on a supercharged bike at over 160 mph - we have this GORGEOUS uphill sweeper at the end of some tight ones. Just beautiful. Where the supercharger is great at high speed sweepers is that you have such preposterous throttle response that you can easily modulate your speed quickly at high speed.

As far as a blown or turbo'd 600 or any other cc, I would personally never do it. I cant handle the stock horsepower of these bikes. I do understand the desire (the never ending desire) to get the most out of ones ride.

I know lots of black guys that do well in the corners... I don't get what that guy was trying to say there.. I don't care if he's PURPLE! When I see these purpose built corner carving sportbikes all stretched out like that I want to puke! What a fuckin waste... Why NOT just ride a damn Busa?? For the same money you get a motorcyle far more suited for the strait line shit... Next thing you know he's going to be saying THE WHITE MAN CAN'T JUMP!!!!!!!!!

Gunner, in some of my recent creations, and to some extent Frank's bike, I like to make the bikes exemplary on all tracks. My personal daily rider '03 1000, for example, makes 230 HP on boost, stock wheelbase, and I LOVE the twisties on it. I mean I slam that bugger day in day out. But sometimes, and pretty much just for advertising purposes, I take it to the strip and use some 4" extensions. That's when I bust out a little 50 shot of NOS. Nearly 300 HP total. The bike FLIES. And as such, it is a monster machine at home on the strip or on the track.
Also, to Frank's defense (and the voiceless hundreds who also stretch their liter bikes), these bikes are the fastest straight line vehicles too. I think my K5 1000 was faster stock than a stock busa in a straight line. So if you want an uber powerful drag bike, the "corner carving sportbikes" are absolutely the way to go as well.
BTW, I'm very white, and I can't jump worth shit.
Pics will start showing up tomorrow. I can't find my camera at the moment. D'oh. I've also spoken to John Zamora at Super Streetbike Magazine, and we'll be shooting this bike for the mag as well.
