Resonating noise from my 05.
I have this noise that is very faint, but noticeable enough while I'm riding. Its not as consistent, but at times it sounds like the ram air with different notes. This might sound funny but it has a sound like: WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW... it would fade in and out smoothly. I thought it was my wheel bearings, but bearings does'nt sound that way. I get my ears checked every year, and I'm only 31. What could this be?

It can't be the helmet. I rode my friends bike with stock exhaust and I don't hear anything. I have 4 lids and all of them are Arai's they're all pretty quiet.

Thanks bro! but I already did that. That fixed the vibration from the front. This noise resonates it sounds like a hurricane when you're inside a house. But not as dramatic.

My '05 makes a noise also. It made it from the first day that I got the bike. It sounds like it is coming out of the intake duct. I found that if I put my hand over the opening that the noise will stop. I took to a dealer to get them to check it out since my '04 didn't make the noise. They told me that it might be the cam chain tensioner. Obviously they weren't hearing the same noise that I was hearing. I know it wasn't the tensioner. I had to fix the problem myself. I haven't heared the noise for several months. How did I fix it? I started wearing ear plugs!
